I work from home so unless I have to go somewhere special I always wear shorts. I started a post about it sometime last year right around a BAD dopefest.
If someone were to read every post I’ve ever posted, motivated perhaps by an apocalyptic onset of ennui, they would learn the following:
(1) I’m a single guy (32) who flirts a lot, usually not very successfully
(2) I love putting things in little lists
(3) I love arguing, and frequently natter on at great length, and use way more words than really necessary to make whatever point I’m trying to make
(4) I play Magic: The Gathering to excess. OK, that’s a lie, there is no such thing as an excess of Magic: The Gathering
(5) I love little kids
(6) I’m very into Buffy, 24, Lost, Deadwood, The Office and The Wire
(7) I love broadway shows
(8) I read a ton
Other things about me that are probably not easily deducible from the SDMB:
(1) I just had my tonsils out
(2) I play racquetball
(3) I have a Jew-Fro
A few of the things people have posted in this thread are news to me… I had a fairly clear idea who Asimovian was, but no idea he was black, and had somehow convinced myself that Surrender Dorothy was a middle aged gay guy.
Regular posters know I’m a Canadian who loves baseball.
Pretty much sums up the Rickster.
•White male, 20s.
•I’m a Nerd who isn’t good at math, and a geek who’s never played an RPG.
•“Quirky” politics/philosophy. (Something like “Utilitarian Fascist”)
•I have a thing for “Mix” cds.
•I like Nukes…probably a little too much. (Re-watching certain scenes from The Day After over and over, sometimes in slow-mo, is a “warning sign,” isn’t it?)
•I have a small, but I think distinguished name for myself in certain fanfiction/fanart and flight-simulator circles. (Some of which involves nukes.)
•I tend a wee bit towards the Melancholy. (I only ended up in the hospital for it once, I’ll have you know.)
My user name should tell you what I am.

Way past 21
– Depending on what day it is, I’m a training instructor, recruitment manager, HR guy or quality assurance coordinator (I’m trying to negotiate for four times my present salary but am not making much headway)
– Photographer, of sorts
– Baseball fan
– Transport fan (trains, planes or ships, I like 'em all)
– The only living things I should ever be trusted with are plants, and hardy ones at that
– Am a somewhat liberal atheist living in one of the most Republican, surburban- Christian enclaves in the country. I’ve been a fish out of water my entire life and I don’t see any reason to stop now.
