Heh! It is sort of common, at least around here. I’m not sure of the spelling of the long version of that word, but it has always sounded like “chinga-dera” to me. That and the shortened version, “chingas” are both spanglish slang.

My :eek: was due to what “chinga” means in Spanish. It’s used in what may be my favorite proverb in any language: “Con paciencia y saliva, el elefante chingó la hormiga” which means “With patience and spit, the elephant fucked the ant.”
