What do you do BADLY, but LOVE doing?

Dancing. I love doing it, but can’t coordinate all four of my limbs at once. Best I can manage is two, before my brain gets overwhelmed and gives up.

Ditto Chess, like Bibliophage. Add Go, as well. I find it absolutely fascinating, and I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on instruction books, openings, mid-game strategies, you name it. One of the last times I played, I had every stone removed from a 13 x 13 board… My opponent stared for a moment and said “Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before - I didn’t think it was possible.”

But I do love it…

Drinking - I’m such a light-weight & because I hate wasting expensive mixed drinks I usually just pass altogether.

Pool - I too can milk a $.50 game for an hour if the other player is also not very good.

Singing - love to sing. Can do ok when it comes to folk/irish ballad type melodies but thats about it. I totally ruin Journey, Meatloaf, Alice Cooper, and Godsmack =(

Writing. Poems, stories, etc. I have some posted on Elfwood & myspace (irishdivil) - oh, and my journal on okcupid

[ Astroboy14 - they have books that could probably help you in the area of sex. ]

Video games. I own four consoles and I play a lot, but I’m not very good at any style of games. I have a really hard time beating any sort of action/adventure or FPS on any difficulty higher than medium, I always miss a ton of sidequests, minigames and rare items in RPGs, and I fail utterly at sports and fighting games. The only games I’m even slightly above-average at are the Tony Hawk series. Unfortunately, my roommate is insanely good at Tony Hawk, so she hands my ass to me every time we play. Keeps me humble, I guess.

Another vote for golf. When I was self-employed, I’d take Wednesday afternoons off. Then, the local course wasn’t very busy, and I could happily go around by myself, without embarassment. I eventually met up with a few guys who were much like me, and we could play at busier times as a group without having to be matched up with anybody better than us (which was most golfers).

I love singing by karaoke. I know many songs and their completelyrics, but I always end up sing off-key with a crackling voice. As usual, my well-mannered Japanese friends compliment my “singing.” Perhaps it’s pity praise? My better half is the only one who calls me onchi (tone-deaf). Sigh.

Surgery.

Good one, Gor!

For me, drumming. However, the more I drink, the better I sound for some reason.

Like so many others, I adore golf, billiards, bowling and singing, and I am not good at any of them.

I really like some sports – I’m just not that naturally athletic. I’m pretty good at defense in soccer and hockey, where finesse is not as important, but I’ve never been that great at scoring goals. Snowboarding – I love it, but uh not so great. I love drawing stuff. I suck at that. One time when I was playing that online game that’s like Pictionary (isketch?) someone said, “Easy there, Picasso,” because my drawing was so awful…

Photography, and singing. Video games too. I have lousy hand-eye coordination and can’t even shoot straight in Halo. And my mage must be the worst geared mage in Azeroth.

singing and drawing…

I can’t carry a tune to save my life, very terrible, but I LOVE singing along as I drive to school in the mornings, especially if it’s something loud and obnoxious.

And I can’t draw either - we had to draw a storyboard for a class at school and my picture ended up having 3 different perspectives. I managed to get side on and bird’s eye into the same picture, without realising it.

…what I forgot to say is, I love to draw also. I love doodling, sketching, anything really, but I just can’t seem to get it right

Life.
Used to be pretty good at it, there for a while…

My twin! I am the exact same way. A pillow is a must when watching a scary movie.

Myst like games. I love them but I am not very good at the puzzles or riddles. 99% of the time I have to slink off and find a cheat.

Photography. I have fun taking pictures, trying to find interesting angles, curves and light patterns but I’m extremely rusty on technique so lots of things don’t turn out the way I’d planned. However, sometimes this is a good thing as I end up seeing things in the photo that my naked eye missed.

Golf. Back when I was in high school I took up golf and played two or three times a week with a friend. I got pretty good but as years went on I played less and less. I still play but not frequently so naturally my game has suffered immensely. I still love playing even though I’m often just scratching in an 8 on a hole because there’s just not enough time for me to chase the damn ball all over the green.
I just shrug and move on to the next hole.

Singing & Dancing. I have genes for neither of them, but I do love to do them.

The last time I got pissed at the office, I went around belting Tom Paxton’s “Now That I’ve Taken My Life.” Sometimes I even sing in languages I do not know. They can tell me I can’t yell or cuss people out, but they can’t stop me from singing.

Sing. I have been told I have a nice voice but it untrained and I can’t carry a tune. But I do enjoy singing.

Your mage and my priest should get together some time. Actually, it’s a point of contention with me in the game- I always feel massively inferior because I just can’t get good stuff.

Archery, surprisingly. I love the feeling of the taut bowstring, the arrow between my fingers, and the satisfying little hum of the release… But hitting the target? Just isn’t going to happen.

Pretty much anything. I have a heap of things I’d really like to do, and would like to do well, but somehow it just never really works out.
