What do you name in the MMP?

Morning all. Waiting for about another 1/2 hour before getting out and cutting the grass. Already 80F a 9am and no rain in sight.

Outside of mowing and showering, going out for dinner and picking up some groceries, should be a quiet day.

FCM, 71F sounds cool even to me.

Cupcakes, sounds like you had fun.

ruble, sounds like even more fun; no amusement parks close to me, unfortunately.

71 sounds cool to me too.

One of my friends is bitching because her daughter and husband want to keep the house on 68 in the summer. Probably the same ones who want it on 88 in the winter.

We do 78 in the summer and 72 in the winter.

Pulling my hair out over my sons books and registration. One professor threatened to drop anybody from the class who has not purhased the book and registered online before class starts because he has a waiting list. Another one we can’t register because we need to class code from the instructor and they haven’t put any information out there yet. Another one we need to get the book through the class and there is no information yet. The last one, they sent him a used book that has no access code, and the bookstore said all of the books were used and the professor said nothing about an access code. It cost $170 for the used book, but we could get the access code and ebook for $125 with an option to buy a loose leaf hard copy for another $25. Of course we didn’t know this when we ordered the book.
I am more than a little frustrated. I’m sure it will all come together at some point.

Mowage has been achieved! It takes me as long to do the push mowing as it takes **FCD **to do the riding. I’m now rehydrating with some lemonade.

Once I’m cooled down, I think knittage and Netflix shall ensue. Because when you’re hot and sweaty, you want a knitted afghan in your lap. :stuck_out_tongue:

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, et a burger N.O.L., I got the <snerk> butts! <snerk> on to smoke and have achieved nappage. About three more hours in the smoker and the <snerk> butts! <snerk> shall be done. I consider that to be productive so productivity has also been achieved. Go Me!

ill take fcm’s 73 for our 98 ……. but this is the most humid simmer weve ever had ,

my nephew loves those pre cut cheese squares but there expensive so grandma cuts up her own our formerly evil kitty loves it because she gets some … its to the point she can smell any cheese type substance and will beg and plead until you giver her some ……. even squeezy cheese ……
And since shes ready to go at any minute we imdulge her

things like this this is why they need to reform the whole college ideal from top to bottom ……

The <snerk> Butts! <snerk> are out of the smoker. One is all wrapped up in foil and the other is in a pan unwrapped. Both are coolin’ down. Once cooled down, the wrapped one will go into da freezer for later usage. I shall shred the other one and bag up most of it to go in da freezer where it shall live until the weekend next. Some of it will be for tomorrow night’s sup. When the smoker cools down enough I shall empty the water pan and wash it along with the racks. I intend to do all this before beddy bye. I will also need to haul the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. This is a lot of productivity for a Sunday evenin’.

Did you get a name yet?

Should we call you Tomato? Potato? We already have a Taters.
Cayenne? Pepper? or Paprika? Solanine? Eggplant?

I like Paprika the best. Or maybe Cayenne?

I’m sure somebody else will weigh in.
Just so you know, your opinion doesn’t count.

That reminds me, I once saw a recipe for making grilled cheese using slices of eggplant for the bread.

Back to cheese. My cat shows no interest in it. The only people food he will eat is ham or chicken.
However, my dog is a cheese hound and I buy spray cheese just for him. I bought him a bone that is stuffed with peanut butter. He licked out a little of the pb, so now I spray cheese in it for a treat. He used to let me squirt it right into his mouth but I had a can with a screwed up nozzle and it went everywhere so he won’t let me do that anymore.

Our dogs love cheese. And carrots. And for some reason, potatoes. If we run out of treats we simply cut up part of a carrot for their treat dish and they’re thrilled.

When we were a little younger we’d keep our house around 67F. Now that we’re into our 70s we’ve gotten more cold blooded and turn the heat up to 68 or 69. Sometimes even 70.
If it gets over 80 we turn on the AC.

With my lunch today I drank one of those ‘Twisted Mango’ Cokes. As far as I’m concerned they should take all of their new flavors, and weird shaped cans that won’t fit in my little fridge, and throw them out and bring back Lime Coke. Sheesh!

Mon, how are you getting on with Death in Paradise? When you finish that one up, you might try Midsomer Murders, also on netflix. There’s 19 years worth of that one. It’ll keep you going for quite some time.

Sari, my brother has three basset hounds and the only time they sit still is when brother brings out the cheese slices.

swampy, glad your Butts are in such fine condition <snerk back at’cha>

I usually set the house temp for 77F during the summer and 73 in the winter.

Mowage has been achieved and dinner at Lone Star Steakhouse (but they took out the 11oz. sirloin, so I had to make do with the 8 oz. portion. Did some shopping (but forgot the cookies) :frowning: Nappage lasted almost two hours, now need to write a fairly long message to my soccer parents that should take up a portion of the evening.

bumba, Nelson gets a baby carrot when he hears me open the drawer with teh zippies to pack them in my lunch. :stuck_out_tongue: He’s good with most fruits and veggies that are acceptable to give to dogs. His favorites are carrots, sweet potatoes, cucumbers and strawberries.

Supper was good (chicken with bacon, onion and mustard sauce, turnip greens, fried cabbage with fennel, mustard seed and caraway, colomorbus and turnip greens) but now I nees to get the ambition to do KP.

Red what is colomorbus? I googled with no results.

The whole <snerk> Butt! <snerk> is now in da freezer along with most of the shredded <snerk> Butt! <snerk> Also the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Thus endeth today’s adultin’.

I’ll be buried in a columbarium but I’m sure that’s not the same thing.

Nightshade.
Jimmy or Mister Dark.

I cut the lawn with my electric start mower (second best thing I ever paid for) and crawled under the truck, determining that I cannot install the side steps I bought.
Christ, my back hurts.

I was going to stall for several posts to say anything but I plan on showering shortly.

Tried to attend a fundraiser for the family of our friend who died from the fire. Problem was we got to the place and time and ------- nothing. I didn’t want to bother the family so we just did a fast “Plan B” for the day and sort of roamed some of my old stomping grounds. Other than that I am doubling tomorrow. Not so much because I feel the need to but more as a sort of PT in case I do jump to the other ship in the fleet.

Roxy lures watermelon! She also got her first taste of rice cereal - that didn’t much impress her.

Bumba - the last episode I saw was when the inspector was sick and Dwayne and Fidel had to work with the annoying woman detective. I love how the chief always figures out who dunnit!

And now, I am showered and playing with my tablet till I fall asleep…

butters, colomorbus is sliced up cukes and onions, sometimes with the addition of tomatoes and/or sweet peppers in a mild vinegar solution. I’m not sure if it’s just my family (on Dad’s side) or if it’s a German or Polish name for the dish, but that’s what I grew up calling it.

I use a recipe involving onions, cucumbers, sour cream, vinegar and sugar. The neighbor out in the woods liked it. Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) has a version w/o sugar, and, indeed detests sugar in the recipe.

Worked, came home. Made poke chops for dinner. I give Gordie a chunk, since it is National Dog Day.
I like to keep the house at 73 in the summer, and 70 in the winter.
