Tall Mocha Frappachino with no whip. Rain or shine. Even in the dead of winter, I get my frappe. Of course, the “dead of winter” here = 65 degrees
I don’t care for coffee, so when I do go to Starbucks I get a venti Tazo hot tea – either Wild Sweet Orange or Passion flavor, since they don’t have lemon to add to a regular tea blend, and the lemon is what I drink regular tea for.
What I normally order is a grande non fat vanilla latte
What I want to order is a London Fog, but nobody ever knows what that is. An old roommate of mine (who used to work at Starbucks) introduced me to it. It is steamed milk with a shot of vanilla and Earl Grey tea. I think they heat the milk with the tea bag in it, but I dont know for sure, I have never been able to recreate the goodness.
I don’t know, never been in one out here.
The one Starbucks I used to go to back home had some really, really snobby workers, which I try not to assume is true for all places, but in this instance, I did. Bad me.
Small decaf. And I refuse to call the smallest drink “tall”, dammit!
I’ve never purchased anything from Starbucks.
Hell, I’ve only ever been in one once, five years ago, when my friend needed a fix. But then, I don’t drink coffee because I learned the hard way that caffeine is Bad For Me before I ever developed a taste for it. The only reason I go to coffeeshops is to talk to other people, not sample the products.
Our friend Foamy has something to say about Starbucks, though (click on the episode “Small, Medium, Large”).
Between Labor Day and Memorial Day, tall or grande dark drip, leave room. When feeling a bit Teutonic, I might ask for whip top.
Between Memorial and Labor Day, grande iced, or grande coffee frap light.
Wasn’t there some site where a guy had a (real) picture of two Starbucks literally across the street from each other?
I’ve heard of that…
But check this out: Type in your address and find out how many Starbucks are in your area.
Since I live in Seattle, I typed in my address, and within a radius of 5 miles, there are 56 Starbucks stores near me.
It would help if I provided the link. :smack:
Swap “tall” for “grande,” and that’s my order. Also rain or shine. I’ve been known to order frappucinos during snowstorms.
I like the flavour of coffee, but am not a coffee drinker – I’m not a fan of hot drinks in general, save the occasional hot chocolate. I have never ordered actual coffee at a Starbucks, but I love me some iced coffee. (And coffee ice cream!)
There’s one Starbucks kitty-corner from another along Robson Street in Vancouver, BC. You can, if you like, sit in one and see into the other, or even take pictures. I’ve done it.
Triple shot espresso with whipped cream. It’s got some italian name. Campano or compano or something. C-something. Whatever. I just say triple espresso w/ whip.
-foxy
Tall, non fat, sugar free vanilla latte.
I liked to order “Venti iced chai, light on the ice” At Dunkin Donuts, I ordered Great One Hael Nut, light and sweet. Standing at Starbucks one day, I got my spiels mixed up and ended up ordering a “Venti hazelnut chai, light on the ice” and damn if that thing wasn’;t good. That;s what I ordered from then on out.
And now, no Starbucks OR Dunkin Donuts. So very sad.
Were we separated at birth? That’s exactly how I am – love the coffee flavor but hate the actual, hot coffee.
I normally get a Venti Mocha Frappucino, although lately I’ve been getting it light with no whipped cream.
I’m also mystified at the jargon of Starbucks – I think “quad shot” means four shots of espresso – but I’m afraid to order anything in this shorthand because I’m afraid I might not ask correctly.
Well, I guess I’m happy in my rut.
I usually get water. After that, I get a small coffee every now and then. My third most frequently bought item is a Bob Dylan CD.
- Tall caramel frap with whip. Then I add cinnaminin. Cinnamon? You know what I’m talking about.
- Water. It’s free. I’m 15 and constantly broke. Water is gooood.
- Chantico. I love it. And live in Chicago. In January, that definitely hits the spot. Plus it’s nicely sized so that it keeps both hands warm.
Nothing. The coffee in Starbucks is pretty awful.
Yup. And the thing that freaks me out is that the bigger of the two (the one underneath the restaurant) has like, six locks on the public washroom door. I wasn’t worried about my safety while using it until I saw those locks, dammit! Anyway, the Starbucks site says there’s 83 locations within 5 miles of GM Place (the major downtown arena); 50 of those locations are within 2 miles of GM Place. There’s sections of Robson St. and Granville St. where there’s a shop every block.
I don’t go into Starbucks much anymore, but my coffee shop drink of choice is a tall dark roast with a shot of espresso. I provide the counter clerk a charming pre-coffee (usually) hungover glare when he or she yells out “EX-presso” to the barrista.
