What do you put on your french fries?

just the ketchup, maam.

Although, I was “turned on to” mayo when I was overseas. Can’t quite remember if ketchup was in short supply or what. Not too bad. Similar to chips and dip, I guess. Not for me though!

I like vinegar too!

I’m a mayo man

A1 steaksauce

Either plain salt or, if I can get it, seasoned salt. Mmm…

Italian dressing or vinegar

MMM. Italian dressing is a nice twist on the vinegar thing…

I’m getting hungry…

Malt vinegar and pepper or
Mustard (for dipping) or
Melted cheese (I prefer cheese whiz if I can get it) and pepper or
Heinz 57 sauce (for dipping)

mmmm, mmmm I loves me some fries!

I dip mine if Frosty’s too, when I’m at Wendy’s. You can also order the cheese sauce at Wendy’s for your french fries!

At home I dip mine in a ranch dressing/ketchup mix.

At other eateries, I use mayonaise!!!

Salt, mayo, and vinegar if it’s availiable.

Depends on what’s available:
ketchup
ketchup, mayo
ketchup, mustard
ketchup, mayo, mustard
ketchup, horseradish, mustard
ketchup, russian dressing (or thousand island)
russian dressing

Ranch Dressing or Old Bay Seasoning (which incidently is also great on corn on the cob).

I am very picky about french fries - not too greasy, no bad aftertaste, not to much seasoning - I either like them, or hate them with a passion.

Last night I went out to TGIF’s, and the fries were good. I usually eat them plain, but a little mayo had oozed out of my burger, so I dipped them in that. It was good! Otherwise (if the fries are teetering on the unedible side of my personal taste spectrum), I will use ketchup.

Ketchup, thousand island or bleu cheese

Gotta try vinegar, never thought of that one…

I find that vinegar on fries is more popular in the Northeast (New England) than in other parts of the US. Does anyone else find the same thing? Don’t they like vinegar on their “chips” in the UK?

**Cayenne pepper! **

I come from Massachusetts and found the vinegar on fries thing to be most prevalent in the New Bedford/Fall River area where a lot of the seafood shacks and stuff were… We’d go to the Whaling City Festival and everyone had vinegar on their fries and their clam cakes… dunno

A 65/35 mix of Ketchup and mustard(respectively). We used to call it “Frysauce” back in my grade school days.

Wrap a piece of American cheese around a bunch of fries and dip them in 1000 Island dressing. mmmm…
