Not really seeing the similarity there jayjay…
Hot monkey Spuffy love.
I’d like for them to say/sheepishly admit that the “every potential becomes a Slayer” spell was, indeed, only temporary. If they thought it was going to be permanent, why cast it after going into the Hellmouth and not, you know, BEFORE? It’s not like the First Evil seemed to be in much of a hurry.
[hijack (sorry)]
What American show was Coupling based upon? I was sure I read in an interview with Coupling’s creator that this was a myth…[/hijack]
Garton, Friends, I’d heard.
ahh well, maybe…less based on and more inspired by IMHO YMMV [/hijack]

Spike must lose the bleached helmet head look. The duster can stay. I’d like to see him with long, light brown hair, a la William in LMPTM.
-
I’d like to see Dawn disappear, gradually turning back into a ball of energy, as the memories of everyone but Spike fade (Spike keeps the memories because he died at the end of S7, and it altered his consciousness in a mysterious way).
-
OK, Angel can be in it, too.
-
NO SPUFFY!!! Spuffy must become a thing of the past. Repeat, NO SPUFFY!!! (Spinnifred would be good. Or Spillow, but, really, I’ve given up hope of Spillow).

Buffy must die. Finally, irrevocably, irresurrectbably die. I want to see SMG do a death scene.
I agree that Buffy’s story really ended with “The Gift”. In S6, Spike’s character was the only one developing. There should never have been an S7- a Spike centered spinoff would have worked, with the Peroxided One struggling to come to terms with his re-ensoulment. That was a storyline sadly neglected.
Has anyone ever thought if any of the ‘awakened slayers’ would turn rogue like Faith did? I mean, suddenly receiving all those super powers, not everyone is going to be gung ho about saving the world. There’ve got to be some selfish ones in the lot.
If there were to be a spin-off series/another movie, I’d like one about how they’re going to control the new slayer problem. It’d be cool if suddenly the SLAYERS were the baddies, and the vamps had to stop them.
Hmm… now that I think about it, maybe that could work on the next season of Angel…
[Hijack]
That’s a good question, actually. I wonder if they are going to throw us at least a scene of a potential slayer in Angel. Or maybe a short storyline.

There is one story left to tell. Five years from now, when Angel’s over and there are no more Buffyverse TV shows to keep going…
Anyone read Fray? One slayer managed to banish all the demons from Earth for a hundred years or so.
Fray sounds interesting to me E-Sabbath…is it worth buying?
There’s one plot point that would interest me because it’s been bothering me since the beginning of the sixth season. Why is it that when Buffy died before (and briefly) a new slayer was “born” yet was not following the events of The Gift?
Discussed before on these very boards.
Joss’ reasoning, given via several interviews, is that the Slayer “line of succession” left Buffy after she died in “Prophecy Girl.” Her subsequent death didn’t activate another Slayer because she was no longer THE Slayer for purposes of the spell.
Kendra was activated by Buffy’s Season 1 death; in turn, her death called Faith.
What Willow’s spell did to the old system is unclear. In “Chosen,” we saw many girls (both the Slayers-in-Training and others, all over the world) become “activated,” but what happens if one of them dies is not clear.

Thanks, Bricker.
I was a late convert to Buffy and missed most of the interviews, etc. about the show when the episodes were being aired.
Here’s a couple of ideas:
Sunnydale prequel:
We see Sunnydale in the months before Buffy’s arrival. There’s Hellmouth-y activity afoot, but the townspeople are largely unaware of what’s going on. Casting would be a problem, because Alyson, Nicholas, and Charisma are all now over thirty and would have to play 15 again.
Something Post-(Man-Made) Apocalyptic:
Nuclear and/or biological war has killed off most of the world’s humans (including most of the new slayers) but not most of the vampires and other demons. A small, intrepid group (which just happens to include Buffy, Willow, Xander, maybe Giles, maybe a few others) must fight for human survival with the odds stacked against them.
I doubt that any Buffy film will ever be made; it would require the cooperation of too many people who have otherwise moved on. I also suspect that meeting the high expectations of their fan base might be too daunting a challenge.
