What does 'reserved license' mean? Software question.

I asked something simular a while ago, but now I have more information. Please forgive for posting a new topic again!

I have a copy of Fireworks 2, and the splash screen says it is a “reserved license”. It functions as a full version, (no limitations that I can see, no “LE” bullshit) and I registered it with Macromedia. But I got it bundled with a scanner. This particular model of scanner had ALL sorts of great full versions of graphics software, including Fireworks.

I just want to know if anyone else has this “reserved license” on their Fireworks program, or other software programs. What does this mean? Would it affect the possibility of me upgrading the software?
