Some years ago, I knew a woman from Yorkshire. After a few drinks, she was likely to break out into this song. I can still remember her singing it.
From an old episode of “Monk,” in which he overhears the victim making this statement shortly before his death. And Monk spends the rest of the hour trying to discover the statement’s meaning, thinking that it’s crucial to solving the case.
“This isn’t my raincoat.”
I must admit that this doesn’t aid my understanding. ![]()
