I am not, nor have I ever been, S.N. Faulkner, although certainly not for lack of trying.

Elendil was a wise and heroic King of Men in the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien. I’d be honored to be his descendant, if he weren’t, y’know, fictional. For more: Elendil | The One Wiki to Rule Them All | Fandom

University of Cincinnati Bearcats, my Alma Mater

What are bearcats and why do they have their own university?

I took my real name, S. N. Faulkner, written in Japanese, then ran it through a Japanese to Russian translation and back.

Cool Hand Luke.

Bearcats are awesome. ISTR that I had one as a young lad.

Don’t you know, eschereal? Once a Marine, Always a Marine. See kenobi, he gets it.

Marines don’t die. We just go to heaven and regroup.

I’m from Essex. I went through a fascination with peerage a few years back, and Malden and Capell are associated with the Earls of Essex.

They can’t go to hell, because the “I don’t see no horns on you” line doesn’t work.

Also, I have it on good authority that God has a hard on for marines.

Actually the line is supposed to be…

Marines don’t die. We just go to hell and regroup.

To be fair, I never served, but I have several friends who are Marines, and who have explained the concept to me.

My wife suggested it. I don’t think it has any true meaning, just catchy. What do the guys here think?

Mowell

Semper Fi…

Your names’ Moe, and you’re fond of fancy gin?

Well, obviously Moe is the bar owner.

Mine’s a bit convoluted, but I originally tried to join with the name UpperKumbucktaWest (Aussie posters will get the reference).

Anyway, somehow I stuffed up my original registration, and upon doing it again, found UKW was taken already (by me of course). But I couldn’t go back to that name, and nor would the board let me use Kumbuckta because, reasons I guess.

So I tried kambuckta, and here I am.

(If you’re really curious, google, ‘Hey Hey it’s Saturday’…wishing now I had picked Dickie Knee).

Mine is an allusion to (what I believed to be, when I created the moniker) my broad gustatory tastes (Mange Tout = “eats everything”).

No, it really isn’t Man Get Out and it never was. snfaulkner will back me on this, I feel sure.

I just used my real name (Dratsum Naem) spelled backwards.
