Nice to meet you, Geraldina Sorcha.
I can’t believe that you preferred that to Archangel Isador. Or that anyone could prefer any anagram to Archangel Isador. Now that I have elimated the impossible, whaver remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth. Go_Arachnid_Laser must be Archangel Isador.
I’m from New Jersey. What was the question again? Are you gonna eat that?
I’m not S. N. Faulkner, but I am B. Egbert 2. The 2 is based on the fact I’m a sequel.
So, you’re cynically trying to profit from the success of B.Egbert? That’s just the kind of thing that S.N.Faulkner would do.
Hah, funny because I only figured out your name a few days ago. And that’s a perfect description of the impression your username gave me when it dawned on me :D.
Ok, you talked me into it. Overuse of snfaulkner caused me to wreck my life. I need intervention, immendiatly.
Funny, I’ve known a few people to have actually said that to me.
I know the song and love it! It’s from their album “Faulk’s Trot”, ain’t it?
Many years ago, I was in an online NASCAR fantasy league. The first player to join did so under the user name “Lug Nutz.” For whatever reason, subsequent users all chose names that were plural nouns with a terminal z instead of s (“Fast Carz,” “Hot Lapz,” etc.).
When I signed up, I really wanted to be S. N. Faulkner. But I chose to go with the z theme and became “Diamond Wheelz.” Every year, I changed it to something different, but always kept the 'Wheelz" part. “Crazy Wheelz,” “Wheelz of Fire,” and so forth.
When I joined the SDMB, “Wheelz” sort of felt like my online identity, even though I probably could have come up with something cleverer and/or more appropriate to my personality. And I haven’t followed NASCAR in years. But I’ve been Wheelz on here for so long, there’s no point in changing it now.
Best. Avatar. Ever.
Shoeless takes second place
Mine is an anglicization of a phrase in Russian: triyelo playonate ergoyika. It means “Agency of S. N. Faulkner.”

Funny to you, maybe.
You do know that Modesty Blaise is a pre-existing comic strip character with her own 1960s feature film, though, right? Not a Tarantino invention?
You know, it took a 0.3 seconds google image search, followed by a 2 seconds search process in my slower-than-google brain, and the avatar was fixed :D.

SNFaulkner, is that you?
I used to be in to whitewater kayaking in a big way. I read a story in a paddling magazine in which they asked a sheriff from a small mountain town how he felt about the paddlers that descended on his town in the spring, when the water was up. “Awww…they’s jes’ river hippies.” That was bouncing around my brain when a message board where I had been lurking for a while posed a question that I felt I had the definitive answer to. Felt like I had to post immediately and that was the user name I chose to use when I created an account.
I’m somewhat hippie like in a few ways but certainly don’t look the part.
My Spanish isn’t that good so I’ll ask Nava to translate it for ya. BTW my English aint very better.
