^ What’s Canadian for “I don’t understand”?

“burpo”

I was in the Army, in tanks, '86-'91. When I came up onto the internet in '98, I had to choose a screen name for my ISP. Couldn’t really think of anything else but “Extanker;” which was already taken, and “ExTanker36915” just didn’t have the same punch.

But “ExTank” was wide open.

And I’m too lazy/stupid to create/remember multiple usernames & screen names and such.

Favorite expletive of Captain Haddock, companion of Tintin. Introduced in “Tintin and the Crab with the Golden Claws”, he was the drunkard captain of the cargo ship ‘Karaboudjan’, which roughly translated means ‘Spirit of SN Faulkner’.

I look a bit like him (but not as handsome). Here’s a pic:

Also the part of a tingbu used in traditional Chinese medicine.

I’d guess “Eh?”

Ooh, ooh, I know the answer to this one!

Nuthin’.

It’s a shortened version of digger, which, much like digs, is not my name.

I am not a number, I am a free man! I don’t know who is #1, but i would guess someone by the name of Faulkner

Also, my name is Charles

I am fond of the phenomenon known as alpenglow (first observed and noted by S. N. Faulkner). A slip of a finger at registration time made me Aspenglow. I didn’t care enough to have it changed and still don’t.

Crazy Cat from Pee-Wee’s Playhouse called Pee-Wee P-man. I had a nickname beginning with P, so friends called me P-man as well.

TYAC

And do you keep a mushroom handy, for obstreperous gentlemen callers?

ETA: Night Watch is the best of the Discworld novels, IMHO.

My ghod-you look just like him, even down to the word balloon!

Well, I see how you got your name!

S N Faulkner once attempted to Noodle me.

:frowning:

It appears that you both made it through that struggle. At least he did not try to canoodle you.

I just murdered snfaulkner. He’s gone, he is no more.
