I call ‘short-stop’.

1973. World gets me, world gets Cecil, just a year of great things overall.

Another brother from the Year of the Dope. Viva la 1973!
I believe I make it 5 for '55. Pretty good company I’m in, too.
Sheesh, I have kids the same ages as some of the people on here. And they won’t get off my lawn, either.
Nor will they mow it.
1948. Sigh.

Me, too.
Come on, join me with a loud
HEY, YOU PUNKS - GET OFF MY LAWN!

Me, and (I think) Argent Towers, among others, I’m sure.
I can never tell you two apart. The two of you basically merge into one double-dipping bisexual in my mind. ![]()

So far, I think the 1980 crowd are the following, please fill me in on any omissions. And yes, we will get off peoples’ lawns just as soon as we can.

I get off no one’s lawn!
1958 #8 here… Greetings and (condolences) to the cohort:
fishbicycle, rico, freckafree, gail, CairoCarol, Emily Litella, and Cub Mistress.
Now this team just needs a pitcher.

You shall not pass ((out) on my lawn!)
I see quite a few perilously close to my oldest child’s age. Ain’t that depressing…
I was born in the same year as my birth. What kind of question is that?
Here’s another for 1949. It was a very good year, methinks.
Roddy
Make 3 for 1964… we’re quite unique, page 5 and only 3 of us!!!
I was born the day Rosa Parks refused to get up.
That was in 1955 for those who can’t recall.
I’d tell you when Pepper Mill was born, but I can’t see an upside to that. MilliCal was born in 1997, though.

Could ya’ at least pull a damn dandelion or two?
You’re five days older than me. Shall I get off of your lawn? ![]()
You can stay. I know how hard it is to move fast at your age.
It looks like I’m the fourth 1964 model here. My folks had the option of wood panel siding on me but thankfully left it off, though I do have bucket seats.
By my understanding of such things I’m one of the last of the 'boomers.
1960 (born two days after JFK was elected). Haven’t read the whole thread, but I imagine I’ve got company – 1960 was a very popular year for giving birth; the end of the Baby Boom, just before the Sexual Revolution and the Pill.

So far, only 7 of us.
1963 leads with 13; next is 1968 with 12; and third is 1958 with 10.

I hear ya. ThirdCultureKid, the youngest to post in so far, is only a year older than my youngest. There are seven posts from those younger than my oldest ! ![]()
Make it 14 for 1963!
Another 1973 birth here.
And another…
Born December 20th 1941.
The bombs and bullets were thick all around as that bastard Hitler and his motley bunch tried to snuff me out.
1924…Hitler released from prison after serving just 8 months
1945…Nuremburg War Crimes trials begin
1945…Edda Mussolini jailed for 2 years for aiding Fascism
1960…Last commandant of Auschwitz arrested
Jebus, my birthday seems suspiciously Nazi-ish
I’m 1962 as well, and I agree with your characterization-we are the Lost Generation, IMO. And we have no voice…
We are not lost. Apparently we are in demand! Both Boomers & X’ers want us. I will stick with being a boomer since that is what I heard the entire time I was growing up.
