The eighth day of 1956.
So I’m a boomer and a couple of months past 52. Only slightly older than dirt according to somebody upthread.

I believe I’m #3 for '56. I have no information on the age of dirt.
Add me to 1945 – and do it with Panache.
It was 1964 for me.
Add me to the 76’er line-up.
That makes what, 5 of us so far?
I turned 18 last Wednesday. And I’m really terribly sorry to leave you old folk hanging, but I have to run. My whole life is ahead of me, and at this rate I’ll never catch up!
Let’s not forget David Simmons, our ailing Doper friend. I’m not certain of his year of birth. But he got to the ETO in WWII in 1944, I think, as a B26 pilot. So he presumably would be at least 18, more likely 19-20 given the necessary training period. That would make his birth year sometime in 1924-26.

1956: Yllaria, RJKUgly, Sassy, Equipoise
It’s funny, I never thought of myself as a Baby Boomer. All the good stuff happened when I was too young to take part, but according to the fascinating, highly entertaining, incredibly readable and sadly forgotten book about Baby Boomer demographics, Great Expectations: America and the Baby Boom Generation by Landon Y. Jones, technically the Baby Boom started in 1946 and ended in 1964. Those born between 1957 and 1964 are known as “Shadow Boomers” because they grew up in the shadow of their older brothers and sisters.

I believe that makes me the second for 1964.

Another here from 1964, February. When I was born the nurse brought me with my hair combed down over my eyes into my mom and said, “Here’s your little Beatle.”

Hi guys!
Yep. My older brother was born in 1957, definitely different. I never have fit in anywhere. Tweeners sounded right to me the first time I heard the term.
yup–I think of myself as a Tweener. Watergate and the Energy Crisis(and Earth shoes and Pet Rocks and mood rings)ruled my childhood, not love-ins and hippies.

Shall we put him on as 1926, then? Or does someone have a link to that “oldest Doper” thread?

Man, I’m glad y’all said something. I had RJK in the wrong year!
I’m an '88er!
Hi, Inner Stickler!
1946 needs someone so here I am.
Grateful to see there are a few in my age group here; I was beginning to wonder.
What, nobody else from the year that Elvis died and the original Star Wars was released?
1977, baby!
Year of the Snake reporting in Darlin’. I was also born in the year that the PC came along.

Well, I guestimated wrong. I found this post from August 2007 by David Simmons giving his age as 85 at the time. That would give him a birthdate in December of 1922.

Hey as long as you get me in somewhere, I’m happy!
That sound dirty to anyone else?
‘Cause it was supposed to. ![]()
