What episode of Cannon (William Conrad) is this?

Just trying to place an exact date for this flashback scene in the Sopranos

Seen from 1:36 to 1:50

Further information: The Sopranos episode in question is In Camelot S05E07. (Directed by Steve Buscemi, BTW.)

The IMDb connections page for this episode just says it’s Cannon.

Question has been asked on Reddit but not answered.

The key may be the guest bad guy in the shot. But looks a bit too “generic” for me to peg.

I think it’s Bradford Dillman, who was in two episodes. Worth a shot.

Yeah, Dillman was in my set of possibilities. The top of his head is about right but the mouth/jaw doesn’t seem right.

Of his two appearances on Cannon, it’s definitely not Cain’s Mark. There’s a German dubbed version on YouTube and that scene doesn’t appear. (Interestingly, David Birney play Dillman’s brother and they are a good match. Dillman-like covers a lot of people from that era.) Can’t find Missing at FL307 in video or script form.

MeTV airs Cannon late at night a few times a week. Currently in season 2. The Missing … episode is from season 4.

It really doesn’t look like him to me.

Got it! It’s David Birney. Right episode, wrong '70s hunk.

Still don’t think so.

In the Sopranos clip the guy is wearing a blue jacket with a light blue shirt. Here’s Birney wearing something similar in the Cain episode. But it’s really a gray jacket that looks a little bluish under the “nighttime” lighting effects. Elsewhere it is clearly gray.

Furthermore, scanning the thumbnails turns up no scene similar to the Sopranos one. (I just did another, more thorough, check. The scene is definitely not from this episode.)

Who knew William Conrad spoke German so well?

I though that looked like David Birney. Just like about 100 other guys on TV at that time also.

If you guys are looking, don’t forget that there was TV movie pilot.
