I think she is stunningly beautiful, but my wife says she looks like an ostrich, and I can’t completely disagree with her. I guess I like ostriches.
Ever since I came into this thread I’ve been looking into the mirror a little more often and comparing comments with my own face. I know, that isn’t what this thread was aiming for…but now I can’t stop!
I have big, round eyes like Anne Hathaway, for example. I hope the shape of my face makes them less awful.
Despair!
~S.P.I.~
Why were you interested in who I found attractive? What were you able to glean from my answers? I’m not being snide, I’m really interested in what you learned, if anything.
What’s weird about this is that I think of Jackman as looking kind of rough, craggy, etc. He’s often shown unshaved or bearded in pictures, and with long or tousled hair. He actually reminds me of a young Clint Eastwood, looks-wise. I can see Tom Cruise looking plastic-y, but to me, Jackman is pretty rumpled and weathered looking.
Most of the people being called ugly in this thread are merely “TV ugly”, not “ugly ugly”.
You mean if they take off their glasses and let their hair down, the leading man will suddenly realize what a babe she is?
I don’t think that’s gonna happen with Sara Jessica Parker. She does any of that, I’m reaching for my dog whistle.
And I suspect in a lot of cases TV or movie beautiful translates into real world freakish. Like Cameron Diaz. Yowza, boss, her eyes are practically on the sides of her head!

Looking at more pics of him- I can see what you are saying, but maybe that’s where the phony part comes in for me. It’s like he has this perfect face, everything is well proportioned and he has this charming smile, so when he goes for the craggy look, it’s an act to me. I don’t think he’s ugly, I agree he is very handsome, but he doesn’t do it for me. I don’t think he’s a bad actor though, at least he was decent in The Prestige (where he was mostly cleaned up and “perfect” looking), but paled considerably to Christian Bale in that movie at least (although Bale has been in plenty roles I could not find him attractive in)
Nicholas Cage! I think he’s a great actor, but, damn, that guy is ugly to me.
You might be the first person I’ve ever run across who actually thinks Nicolas Cage is a good actor.
I actually thought he was great in Wild At Heart. He was better looking when he was younger; he hasn’t really aged well.
I’ll agree with Megan Fox. Even though (to be a big crude) everything below the neck is just about flawless, her face is offputting and…just weird, and her eyes are dead. I want a bit more life and energy and fun in my ridiculous celebrity crushes, thanks.
I apologize for not reading the whole thread but I do not understand the Love for Colin Firth. Good God, this man is pasty and fat. What does one see in him?
Also, David Becckham. So he has has a tight abdomen. Big Deal. I’ll take 60 year old Pierce Brosnan any old day.
Well, that’s not quite true. She does have funny thumbs.
I think she is pretty, but she’s way prettier without makeup… and lately, every time I see a picture of her (or, gods above and devils below forbid, a TV ad) she’s got it ladled on. Does she advertise Elseve hairspray in the US as well? I know it’s a hairspray ad, but they make her hair look like congealed, shiny tar. Before that ad, I didn’t know hair could be scary.
And she has some of the ugliest tattoos I have ever seen.
For me, a more accurate question would be “What famously attractive people do you actually find attractive?” because that’s a much shorter list than the one of people I don’t find attractive. Or at least I don’t find most people who are considered attractive today very hot.
People I do find attractive:
Christian Bale
Steve Moyer (to some extent)
Many 40’s era actresses (I love their clothes)
Pin up girls (most are quite beautiful and leave just enough to the imagination)
People I really don’t get:
Tom Cruise
Sarah Jessica Parker
Hugh Jackman
Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie
Most current “hot” people
Alexis Dziena. She plays Eric’s current love interest in Entourage. Ugh, she looks like the love child between Steve Buscemi and a Gremlin. They really need to include a warning label on this show, because I’m having a hard time getting these ice picks out of my eyeballs.
You should reserve judgement until you watch Broken Flowers
I won’t pretend to speak for anyone else, but to me it looks as if this woman were going to crawl through my TV screen and eat my children! And I don’t even have any children.

No, I mean, if they weren’t famous, and you just saw them on the street somewhere, you may not consider them drop dead gorgeous, but you certainly wouldn’t call them ugly.
Oh, I was just thinking today about how scary-looking that woman is! She’s GOT eyebrows…very faint…but I think there is a lot of makeup going on there! Very pale, pasty make-up. Her whole demeanor and voice and every thing is so darned annoying…and she’s really creepy-looking! Took seeing the ad about three times before I could even figuring out what she was talking about. She on my NOT attractive list, sorry.
THANK you.
I never cared about Gwyneth Paltrow one way or the other…but then Iron Man. She was so hot in Iron Man!
I think it was the red hair.
