What field of work are you in?

More oilfield trash here. I beleive there are quite a few of us on the Dope.

I was left out too. I was in the medical field (but not a nurse or doctor) before I quit to be a stay-at-home wife (I hesitate to say that I am a stay at home Mom because my youngest will be 14 soon, so the Mommy-ing isn’t a full time job any more.)

Public Defender. Which, yes, puts me in the attorney category. Interesting poll!

Why is there no education category? Plenty of us poor souls on the SDMB.

Education, I guess. I’m a grad student/research assistant.

Artist, I guess. Animation, 3D modeling, VFX, and design when I’m feeling nostalgic.

IANAL, but I work with lots. I put risk management, since we do insurance defense.

Meteorologist. Couple choices could fit I guess.

Veterinary Medicine* and I’m surprised we didn’t make the list, there’s a few of us here; Karl Grenze, Pullet and Sea Dragon Tatoo just to name a couple.
*I’ve included Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians in the one category.

The closest match would be Information technology, subcategory “data center grunt”.

Wow. You don’t have a category for me either. Physician educator; CME programs, etc…

ETA: I’d add the category: Healthcare - Education, or Healthcare - Non-physician

I put down government, which is my employer, but my actual job duties fall under the broad rubric of “skilled trade.”

I didn’t see snowboarder up there, or kayaker, or slacker, so I checked the last box.

I expose people to ionizing radiation.

This may come as a surprise to folks but I put down engineer. :stuck_out_tongue:

Unemployed/disabled but I do coach high school track/cross-country.

Ah, a televangelist.

I love how the biggest category is “you crack-a-lackin idiot, you left me out.”

Freelance writer / writing test grader / English teacher right here.

Petroleum geologist with geophysical proclivities… or dirts and hertz.
