I’m a secretary for a little local company comprised mostly of my friends. I do a little of everything. (and a lot of nothing sometimes, like now)
The business I work for is a sound company, we provide sound, light, staging etc for events, so my occupation is secretary but my business field is entertainment support.
I stuck down R&D 'cos that’s what the organisation does - emphasis on the “R” - but I’m actually a management/management systems/quality/process imprvcement sort of person these days.
I’ve never understood R&D in these categories. I’m somewhere in the middle of Engineering and Information Technology, but really do R&D in these areas.
I’m a management consultant who works for a Big-4 accounting firm that provides litigation technology consulting services to the banking and insurance industry. So I can check off “information technology”, “finance”, “insurance / risk management”, “accounting” and “legal”.
I’m of the opinion that Information Technology is too broad of a field these days. It would have been nice to either have it by sub category or by industry.
