What food are you craving right now?

I just ate a bag of Japanese beer snacks that my colleague gave me.

They were delicious.

I am now craving a second bag of salty, nutty, fishy, weedy goodness.

Nicotine, one of the four basic food groups: Nicotine, Alcohol, Sugar, and Caffeine

Chex Mix. Curse you, Rocketeer!

I wanna Happy Meal.

I find myself crazing a fix of dead bovine, fat and salt.

It happens sometimes.

Either that or some really gloppy Chinese food, which is what I’ll probably go for tonight.

When I was a kid, my mother made countless biscuits. If there were leftover day-old biscuits, we’d slice them in half, spread butter on them and toast them in the oven; I’d hang around just to smell them toasting. (Sometimes the simplest memories are the best.) Could sure go for some of those now, with honey.

Update: Had to run out for milk last night. Bought Klondike Bars as well. Yummy.

Boiled crawfish, corn and potatoes.

Lasagna.

Layers of noodles and meat and lots of cheese with salad and warm garlic bread and a glass of wine.

Maybe this weekend. The spaghetti in my lunch will have to satisfy my pasta cravings for now.

I too came here to mention Chex mix. But then I came across the phrase “Cheese and Onion Pie”. Dear Googally Moogally! I had to immediately look up a recipe for this. ::drools:: You know that scene from American Pie? I’ll try to restrain myself.

A really good basket of poutine–crispy hot fries, warm gravy, the whole works.

…You can all stop snickering when I come back from replacing my toque and feeding the moose outside.

Now you’re giving me a craving!

Except the only place with halfway decent poutine I’ve found here in the land of oil and cows is a 3 hour drive away (and I don’t drive). Along with the montreal smoked meat.

What’s poutine?

Missing… home… ARGH!

You know, last night while grocery shopping, I was looking for some good, fresh mozzarella (to put on that pizza I was craving yesterday - I made it, it was awesome), and I found some cheese curds! I haven’t seen cheese curds in these parts since I moved here three years ago! I nearly had a heart attack. I didn’t buy any, however, since I was already splurging on the good mozza to attack my original craving. But I’ve been having dreams, ever since, of a nice basket full of crispy hot fries, warm gravy…

sobs Oh, Kyth! How fast to you think you can have a fresh, tasty basket of poutine shipped to Seattle?!

Pouuuuuuutiiiiiiiine! :frowning:

All I want is a real breakfast sandwich. Double pork roll, egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll. For some reason they don’t do pork rolls out here so I have to suffer until I go back home.

French fries with gravy and cheese curds on - the curds go all melty. It’s mighty tasty. Heck, curds are mighty tasty. And my grocery store has them. Think I should buy some nest time I’m there. I usually balk at the price but hang it; gots to have me some curds.

Thanks. Next question - what are cheese curds? Is it like cottage cheese?

Cheese curds. They’re goooooooooood.

makes up a quick order of extra-hot poutine for Anastasaeon and Flutterby

Although now I’m craving nanaimo bars and butter pecan tarts. I hate being on a diet. :frowning:

>evil giggle> I learned how to make cheddar cheese just to make the curds …

I grew up spending several weeks every summer incanada, and my grandparents woud take me to the local cheese dairy and buy my brother an I each a 2 kilo bag of curds …

I love the squeek. People just do NOT understand when I reply to the question as to why i like cheese curds with the answer ‘because they squeek’
