They still exist in sports, but they are made of lycra and are typically black. Most notably, they are used in cycling when it is chilly but not cold enough for full tights.

And they also use arm warmers. Exact same thing and you can slide them up and down as needed to keep your arms comfy without stopping to add/remove a long sleeve layer.

I’ve always been curious what happened to them. I had red/white stripped one’s as a kid and I think I even had purple ones. I loved mine! Not sure what happened to them waayy back then. I think it would be cool to wear them again. Any Doper women miss them too? or do you think they should never come back?

I have 4 pair of leg warmers and wear them a lot. I have bad circulation and it helps me to wear them. No one sees them because I wear them under slacks.

But, you see, even when wearing trousers over my “pants” kneeses got cold riding little moped thing in winter. So they were sort of knee-mittens, really.

You can still get al sorts of leg warmers, arm warmers, and even “knee warmers” at any bicycle shop. Like there. They look nothing like the 1980s Flashdance kind of things though. They are purely functional, and tight fitting, not so much designed to fit over regular pants, rather they are designed to fit over your bare legs when you wear shorts or spandex-type clothes.
And you can still get leg warmers any place that sells dancewear.

Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!
I hated seeing leg warmers on my classmates in elementary/junior high… If you don’t say the name, they won’t ever come back. Right?

Say their name three times while looking in a mirror in a dark room!! I double dog dare ya!!
