I’m not saying this as a criticism of the moderators, just a question about board policy. IIRC quite a few people have gotten into trouble for posting links to porn in the past. So how come this Playboy link was allowed to stay?
It was odd that those links weren’t removed. Dunno how such sloppy moderating coulda possibly happened. Damned details, I tell ya, damned details always trippin’ me up. Guess I won’t be getting a glowing performance review from Cecil this year . . . again.
Moral of the story: Mods can’t be everywhere all at once. We do rely on your help. You see something like that, email a mod or administrator and we’ll handle it, and we’re grateful for your help.
Our gratitude and $4.95 will buy you a cup of coffee, but there it is.
Rockford, I posted one once, it was a really cool link to a breast test, where you rated breasts… Like wow, however, I got a email from one of the mods in a new york minute.
Still, as you mentioned, some links get through. I remember seeing an animation of breasts link staying for days…
For future reference, by the way, it’s probably better to e-mail the mod instead of, rather than in addition to, posting about it. E-mail to the mods, the mods will see it. Post it to the boards, and the mods will also eventually see it, but in the meantime, the problem is that much worse.
Cripes! The most expensive drink I can think of on our menu here in Orange County is an iced ventimassivehugesuperslammogulp white mocha, and that’s $4.45. Remind me to bring my own coffee if I ever come to New York …
Even better: use the “Report this post to a moderator”-button under the offending post. That way, all the moderators for the particular forum are e-mailed instantly, with a link to the post. It saves both the reporting poster and the moderators time and effort.
