Who actually carries out the maintenance? Is it more than one person? What happens if you don’t do it?

So I’ve always wondered, what is involved in board maintenance?
A coat or two of shellac usually does the trick. Wax is optional.
Okay, now I’m confused. The OP says the board goes down at 0930 GMT. Because of Central Daylight Saving time, the difference is currently 5 hours. That translates to 4:30 AM Chicago time (5:30 AM NY Time).
AFAIK the maint time has alway been 3:30 AM Chicago time (4:30 AM NY Time), all year.
Did the OP actually refer to a GMT clock to get the time, or did he/she make a mistake in calculating it from his/her local time?
I think the OP incorrectly assumes we’re currently in GMT, we’re not, we’re in BST (British Summer Time) The boards do indeed go down almost exactly 9:30 ‘our time’ whatever that might be.
Give or take a Week America switches to and from daylight savings times at the same ‘time’ as Britain
