What I have done vs. What I am supposed to be doing

I have become the Queen of Procrastination™ recently. Today is an extraordinary example of this. Really. But I also know that if I don’t do what I am supposed to do, I’ll fail my Info Policy class, and then won’t I be in trouble?

What I am supposed to be doing:

  1. Writing this paper (due May 1)
  2. At least thinking about the final paper for another class (May 6)
  3. Considering studying for the one final I have (May 8)
  4. Generally being a good student.

What I have actually done today:

  1. Went to campus, made copies of the articles in the law journals that I needed (this actually pertains to the paper due May 1, and was important)
  2. Went to the campus bookstore to purchase a padded envelope and a large envelope for two things that needed to be mailed.
  3. Went to the university center post office, realized I didn’t have either of the things that needed to be mailed with me, so I went home.
  4. Left the apartment, went to the post office (mailed SDMB Book Swap books and the other thing)
  5. Went to the grocery store.
  6. Made lunch
  7. Did laundry
  8. browsed the boards
  9. Checked the group personal at the Onion that a bunch of us made about a month ago. New response! Had to e-mail the group to tell them of the new response.
  10. Checked e-mail again, responded to the responses from my e-mail in #9.

How else can I procrastinate today? I could, of course, clean the apartment, but that’s overrated as a procrastination device. C’mon folks! I need ideas!

Paint your toenails.

I would grab a beer and enjoy a good porn…

Video games are god’s gift to procrastination. Also, sending and reading email. And find a good movie to watch.

Porn: not an option, seeing as I have none in my apartment.
Nice ideas folks. Unfortunately, they didn’t work. Somehow I’ve managed to write 3.5 pages while watching a movie AND listening to the class I missed Tuesday night (online classes are recorded for playback whenever). And I think I’m writing well.
Luckily, tomorrow I get to work all day, meaning that no classwork will be done!
