I timed mine to arrive right before Christmas.
Funny, it totally slipped my mind that I should be expecting a gift.
I am here to join the general chorus of “It’s on it’s way!”
I sent my gift Dec. 15th, but the parcel tracking service isn’t. Tracking it, I mean. It better frogging get there.

I attempted to mail my gift Saturday, and was told I had to go to the regular post office (I was at the service desk of a supermarket) because they don’t give out customs slips. My elderly father agreed to go to the post office for me, but as of yesterday he hadn’t done it(very cold, slippery weather). If he hasn’t by today, I can do it myself tomorrow (temp job ends). But needless to say, I am afraid my gift will be late; sorry. But it WILL be mailed. Eventually.

After standing in line at the post office for over 15 minutes (quite a long time for our town), the gift is off and on its way!
Well, I fought my way through the lines at the post office today to send my Secret Santa gift. Actually the lines weren’t that bad, but anyway… So you probably won’t have it by Xmas, but definitely by NYE.
Surrendered my poor, defenseless gift to the tender mercies of the US postal system today.
Not that my gift is poor, I actually think it’s kind of nice. I just really hope it gets there. Merry Christmas, Secret Santa recipient!
There are two people who never received the email telling them who they are assigned. I’ve been working my ass off on it, and now need only one final response from a participant to pin down who doesn’t yet have a Secret Santa.
To two participants: Your present will be late, but I swear by God that you WILL get one!
And to the person yet to mail me back: MAIL ME BACK!

Hehe, I’m doing some work for UPS…got right in this afternoon with a whole 2 people in front of me. Considering I’m at one of the main air-hubs, my present will be there by Friday, Saturday at the latest. 
Well, I appreciate my person posting here to give me ideas. However, I must use this public forum to state that your gift will be late. I am terribly sorry and I don’t really have a good excuse other than being busy. I know that you don’t know who you are yet, but I assure you, your gift is coming!!!
But I’m SOOOO glad I saw this, otherwise my recipient would have gotten some weird ass thing off Ebay. This way, my recipient will get something they actually like.
It’s probably too late for me to say what I want. I wish I’d known about this. What would I like, anyway? Cool kitchen gadget? I love David Bowie. I’m desperate to get organized. I dig cool pens with sharp tips or calligraphic tips. I like animals, especially sea lions and dolphins and dogs. I love Eddie Izzard. I love Calvin and Hobbes…I know collections can be had for a song.
