GQ, 1885:
Fastest way to accelerate my large metal coach? by Eastwood
Okay, so, hypothetically, say I have a carriage made of metal, which seats two people. What’s the fastest I could theoretically make it go, and by what means? I’m looking for speeds in the range of, say, 88 miles per hour. I would appreciate a prompt response, thanks!

So, this new stuff… ‘paper’.
Reckon it will catch on? Or just a passing fad? Seems a bit flimsy to me. Give me stone tablets and etched metal plates any day.
Thread in Cafe Society in 1982 or so:
Need title for new song
Sample lyrics: “Her name is ?, and she dances on the sand, just like that river…” Also name for group would be appreciated.

So the king is gone, what about Cromwell for our next ruler
Posted in 1916 by TsarNicholas2 :
Lenin is a Marxist, is all there is to it. But at least he’s the good kind of Marxist: the kind that’s completely impotent. He’s never going to be in a position to impose his particular brand of hatred on anyone in any stronger form than bleating at them on a message board. If a genuinely militiant (as in, has guns and is willing to use them) Marxist movement ever got underway in Russia, he’d be a genuine danger, but that’s not ever going to happen. Not in the any of our lifetimes, anyway. That makes it a lot easier for me to ignore the gibbering and hand-waving. But then, it’s not me he’s gibbering about, so I’m not as emotionally involved.
