What in the kitten raping hell?

Incest slash (between a parent and child, especially) is just WRONG. Yikes. ::Blech:: Slash is not my cup of tea, but still—whatever floats your boat. But INCEST slash is creepy.

It’s mentally harmful. And they do pop out of the computer sometimes and bash you good, but the police will never believe it until it’s too late.

Now that is wrong.

I understand LOTR slash. But Harry Potter slash - the kids are like 11 in the first book!

Sterra- I am SO sorry I followed that link. In fact, I’m not sure it is entirely appropriate, as there are some rather disturbing discussions of sex with young (young) children going on on that board.

Thanks for posting that link today, by the way. That reminds me I need to call my dad.

How old were the pilot boys in Gundam W supposed to be? I challenge you to find a non slash fan-fic for that show.
I think the fact that they are fictional characters gives fans a lot more leeway before it gets creepy- if I saw an erotic story about the actors in the Harry Potter movie I’d be a hell of a lot more creeped out.

The GW guys are supposed to be 15 and 16.

Anyway, most of the Harry Potter slash (well, even the non-slash) out there ages the characters. A great deal of them are set in 7th year and beyond, thus making the characters at least 17. Not quite the same as a bunch of 11 year olds.

Um, what is “slash?”

Porn?

Oh well. It can’t be any worse than some of the wannabe Star Wars porno fan fiction I’ve read. Blech.

Incest board…FAMILY ORGY???

AAAAHHH!!!

Excuse me, I have to go scrub my eyeballs with Clorox…

I dunno, I did think Legolas was cute…

[sub]giggles Balrog porn… Now there’s an image…[/sub]

Properly-written Balrog porn should provoke intense debates over whether or not it had wings.

Slash is not necessarily porn. Some stories can be explicit, but it’s not a requirement. The story linked at Something Awful is not explicit…just kissing. I’ve read it and it’s not that bad.

But, uh, the incest thing? Ewww.

Here you go, Zoggie.

Well, yes, kind-of. The term “slash” refers to a method of cataloging fan fiction based on which two characters end up in bed. Originally, much of the fiction of this nature concentrated on Kirk/Spock couplings (note the slash mark) but in reent years, one can casually find Worf/Troi, Riker/Troi, Worf/Riker, Wesley/Guinan (I kid you not).

My own fiction starts with a minor Ro/Barclay element, but over my six-story arc, they get well and truly broken up.

I once saw Foxtrot fanfiction. It had Jason getting it on with Paige. Since then, nothing written disturbs me.

Actually, Bryan, since k/s, slash specifically refers to male-male pairings - straight pairings are referred to as gen.

Sweet Lord Jesus in platform double-suede. OpalCat, I went to the link you provided. I read the story and vomited; then my vomit saw the story and it vomited. True, the MST was hilarious, but the actual story itself was so gut-freezingly weird and evil that now I must disembowel myself to end this horror.

On another note, I have no problem with slash. I just have a massive, galaxy-sized problem with incest, its perpetrators, and its…:shudder:…fans. This is fanfic that is not making Baby Jesus cry; it’s making Baby Jesus’ head explode.

And yet, I’ve yet to see disembowelments, crucifixions, and meltings with toxic waste in literature get this kind of reaction…

As a slash fanfic writer (Nick/LaCroix, Nick/LaCroix/Vachon, LaCroix/OMC, Kai/HDS, Kai/Prince…er, need I go on? ) I would definitely argue that the Wrongness of Mary Sues far outweighs any other possible fanfic Wrongness.
