What is everyone doing right now?

playing with malenki, (the cutest thing on 4 feet)
drinking iced tea, eating cadbury,
waiting for the nba finals to start,
go sixers, beat la!

8:48 pm. (now that the electricity is back on)

[li] Trying to figure out why I can’t get ICQ working (sorry Odie, it’s been down a couple of days).[/li][li] Listening to Holst “The Planets” (expecting the phone to ring as usual during “Jupiter”)[/li][li] Trying to get the motivation to finish a report that’s due tonight via e-mail.[/li][li] Watching the sky turn reeeeaaallllyyy dark, and waiting for it to storm again.[/li][li] Scratching HyperKitty on the back with my toes.[/li] Mentally cursing Cartooniverse, since that’s probably the only way to get the lyrics to "Mercedes-Benz out of my head, thank you very much!

Curse you both. Now I’ve got 'em.

I’m still sitting here, drinking beer…

Padding my postcount.

Yeah, me too. Or trying to, for a couple more posts anyway.

9:21 PM, Eastern

I’m avoiding the dishes and secretly hoping they will wash themselves so I don’t have to get up from the computer.

I’ve been sitting here at my computer since noon except when I got up to watch TV for a while and to get my meals (it’s so nice to be out of school :p)

I tried to avoid the SDMB earlier today, to test my will-power. It didn’t work. I held out until an hour ago or so.

That was my day.

For the first time in a while, I’m wishing for Monday to come to break the monotony.

12:39 PM, Saturday, June 16th here in beyoootiful downtown Seoul…

I’m sitting in the office of the business Tommy-two-ties and I started, getting a little work done and screwing around at the same time.

We just ordered a pizza for lunch, and I’m looking forward to it getting here because I’m friggin’ hungry!

Now, I’m going to light a cigarette…

10:43 PM, Friday.

I’m taking a break from trying to clean up my flooded bathroom and wondering if it’s feasible to just run away. Not just from the lake that is currently my bathroom, but from lots of stuff.

Where would I go?

Would I have to take my kids? Yes, I would. But sometimes I wish I could dump 'em on Grandma.

Maybe I could just move back to Mom’s. She’d let me curl up in a ball and be miserable for about a week. But then she would expect me to get up and do, ya know, stuff.

::sigh::

Now I’m going back to trying to clean up the bathroom.

~11:30 PST Friday

Mrs. B and I are at our tiny little cabin at the beach in Washington, (Long Beach peninsula). We’re not actually on the beach, we’re about 5 blocks (1000 yds) from the water on the other side of a hill.
I worked 26 hrs last weekend so I left work about noon today and we drove up early. It was a beautiful day, cool and crisp. Walked on the beach, visited some of the neighbors. Had a nice home-made dinner. Sat on the deck and drank a Black Butte Porter. Been reading “Fallen Angels” by Niven, Pournelle, and Flynn. Watched a new Farscape tonight. It’s been a very good day.
Now I’m sitting at the table with the lap-top. Got on to check e-mail a few minutes ago. Been brousing the boards while trying to get some info off of the Amtrak website. Very bad design, that. Mrs. B is in bed, (actually in futon). I think I’ll get off now and join her.
Good Night everybody.

P.S. Sorry about your bathroom Arden.

02.46 EDT Saturday: I look over at my bed and see that Anniz is not there. I go there anyway. I’m sleepy.

Goodnight SDMB!

1:03 am my time…

  • Have The Tonight Show on the tube but not watching it

  • Surfing through the SDMB (of course)

  • Enjoying a Molson Ice

  • Contemplating the next two days with my nephew dog. He’s a chicken shit in the afternoons afraid that a thunderstorm is brewing, even if it’s sunny out. Wondering how my cat will deal with the extra canine in the house and suspecting she will hide out under the bed the rest of the weekend.

Other than that, a nice and mellow evening in the techchick household and thinking I should go ahead and hard cook some eggs for egg salad for lunch and/or dinner tomorrow.

Hope y’all are having a good Friday evening (or Saturday morning) depending on where you are.

Saturday morning now, 9:35,
I’m sitting here checking out what has happened
on the SDMB during the night.
I also got 2 lottery tickets a minute ago from my father.
Cross your finger I’m going to be a millionaire now.
I check it out now,
so you all now.
Yeah, I did win,
75 skr = about 7 US Dollar.
Not much, but I can buy 3 new ones
and get a new change.

0250, Saturday Morning . . .

I’m wondering how many people in the office felt the need to post they were there because I did, lickety split. Now I’m considering the SDMB power I have over people.

Now I realize that I have no power over people, and that I’m basically full of crap.

Tripler
Oh wait, I’m full of beer!

It’s 2:52 CST. Surfing the SDMB, winding down after another shift of delivering computer parts to the Dell plants in Austin Texas, trying to keep Blackie Pie, my cat from tearing through the screens to get outside. Thinking maybe it’s time to hit the bed and get up early to work in my shop before the day gets hot and it’s time to go back into work.

It’s 3:17 am and I’m making final preparations to head out on vacation.

In about 45min. I’ll be on my way to Las Vegas.

I stayed up late watching Margaret Cho and now I have to pay the not enough sleep piper.

It’s 11:10 am here in Fall River. I’m home alone, and even though it’s humid, there’s a nice breeze coming in the window. I’m having a wake-n-bake morning. I love those.
I’m listening to Dave Matthews, and I don’t care if some of you people think he’s the devil.
The boards are nice a fast…yay!
My coffee is cold.

Rose

I’m procrastinating about going to the studio, mostly because I can’t bear the idea of listening to another full day of guitar overdubs. I’m at home online, swilling Dasani to rehydrate myself after drinking my usual nightly half a fifth of SoCo.

I am running a marathon right now and I just decided to take out my laptop and check the straight dope while I’m at it eojhfjeHQWOJHT4OJWEHRLJTHJLWT sorry one of the runners thought it would be funny to press my keys, hang on, okay I just tripped him…I think he’s dead, oh well I’ll get back to running see you later!

Sitting in my shorts in front of the computer, playing with my devil spikes, and reading Mad Magazine. Instant Messenger is being annoying, and I’m trying to get it to log on, but it’s not. Audiogalaxy has chosen the two people with the slowest connections to download from, and Counting Crows are singing “A Long December” through my speakers. I’ve just finished the fight club book, and so I’m feeling slightly crazy…

And it’s one more day up in the canyon, and it’s one more night in hollywood…

• Wondering what my girlfriend’s doing. Probably enjoying “quality time” with her family. They’re all horribly dysfunctional.

• Wondering if I should go clean out the inside of my car, then realizing that I can’t, since it’s a million billion degrees outside and hotter in my car, since it’s got dark grey leather. I also realized I meant to pick up a steering wheel cover when I stopped at the auto parts store today, but I forgot. So more burned hands for me.

• Wondering if I need to make any special preparations for Father’s Day other than sign the cards. Dad already got his present - a new bike.

• Procrastinating on finishing and folding my laundry, as well as washing the bedsheets.

• Needing to clean my room and vacuum so they can clean the carpets tomorrow.

• Listening to the Semisonic CD I bought last week.

The current time is 3:13 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2001, on Sanibel Island, Florida.
