There Is Nothing Left to Lose by Foo Fighters.
Best band to come out of the '90s, IMO. First album was great, and they just kept getting better.

Cool, clear night, so the wind (passing cars, assorted idiots with rap ripping out the speakers), but mostly just quiet night sounds and…
Drowning my brain in:
Beethoven’s 7th: pure ripper, rowdy joy, uncouth as hell but music from a deaf genius. Gift from the ages, folks.
Veb
Currently, the 5 disc player’s playing Tracy Chapman’s latest. I’ve also got Natalie Merchant and Supertramp in there. Drain reminded me of the Foo Fighters, and if I find that CD, I’ll put it in there too.
Roger Waters Amused To Death…being in a Waters mood, I’ll probably follow up with Radio KAOS.
I am listening (but am I really listening?) to the tap-tap-tap of my fiance’s keys on his keyboard, and the sound of crickets outside my window.
Let me listen closer…there’s also a distant bark of what I assume is a little rat-dog…the sound of a car about a block away…some creaking of my house itself…ahhhhh…and I just heard one of my most favorite sounds on earth: My beloved Maggie, my golden retriever, as she swallows a deep breath and then blows it out like a whale as she’s settling down into sleep.
The Ophelia CD by Natalie Merchant. The hum of my computer’s fans. The strange gurgling sound made by the fan that isn’t quite working right. Some thumping and rustling noises from the kitchen (which I hope are being made by my roomate as he prepares food. The tap of my keyboard. The creak of my chair. the noises of people walking around upstairs. Water rushing through the pipes…
From This Moment On on Stars of Country (on the radio).
The voices in my head
Now, Greenday…3.5 more minutes it’ll be 3eyeBe, then after that REM, then Barenaked Ladies, then I need to get a new playlist…good old winamp…
Really? Maybe they know the voices in my head! Have your voice’s people call my voices people! We’ll do lunch!
Currently on the radio is the Solid State show with Liquid Todd on K-Rock. I loves me some K-Rock.
Are you guys certain your voices don’t know my voices?
Because if not then why am I hearing all about those little escapades you two had when drunk…?
But yah. I’m listening to Voodoo by Godsmack on Napster and soon I will hear Dirty Deeds by AC/DC. And my voices are telling me to throttle my younger brother but they say that often so I’ve learned to ignore them.
For you voice hearers: if you’re serious, which for some reason I doubt that you are - congratulations to you for talking about it. If you’re just a bunch of crackers - it isn’t all that funny.
Oh, and I’m currently listening to Smog’s Blood Red Bird.
I’m listening to the voices in KP’s head as well…
That and All Is Full Of Love, Bjork.
I’m listening to voices too. But they are not inside my head, they’re real I tell ya, behind me! in front of me! they’re everywhere!
[pause] what? why can’t I tell them? [pause] No no, they’re OK here, they’re all…[pause] But I[puse] But[pause], I told you both that human bodies aren’t capable of… [pause]Hmm Ok
I’m really not hearing any voices. I must have made a mistake. Please disregard everything mentioned above and have a nice day.
Dire Straits
Patty Larkin’s new live album, a gogo, and the sound of the downstairs tenant’s shower running.
Tyketto - Forever Young
Yup, it’s a big hair band. But this song ROCKS. All hail WinAmp
I’m listening to a CD-R mix thingie of MxPx, NoFX and The Misfits. What a combo. Hehe.
Nothing. I am one of those (apparently rare) persons who likes quiet. I am bombarded by noise everywhere and can’t even have a conversation in a restaurant without shouting over piped-in music and I’m sick of it, do you hear? (Aren’t you glad you asked?)
