What is everyone listening to at this very moment?

I am listening to Steely Dan, A Decade of Steely Dan. Specifically track one, FM (No Static at All), which I believe to be one of the best songs on this CD, along with Peg and Babylon Sisters.

Chris Issac, Heart Shaped World CD, and right now “Wicked Game” is on - “World was on fire and no one could save me but you…”

Is it me or does this man just ooze sex?

The Practice is on in the background, cause my roomie was watching that but she’s gone now, and I hate to turn it off and piss her off when she comes back. I love living in fear, don’t you?

Happy Listening, folks!

“To Forgive,” off of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins. I think that this is the tenth time in a row for this song. I really like it, though.

Winamp Playlist right now:

Rage Against The Machine - Fuck the Police
Madonna - Ray of Light (Sasha’s Ultra Violet Mix)
Led Zeppelin - No Quarter
The Tubes - Prime Time
Olivia Newton John - Make a Move on Me
Jerry Reed - Eastbound and Down (Smokey & The Bandit Theme)
Starland Vocal Band - Afternoon Delight
Trance Control - Atomic Dance Explosion
Blue Oyster Cult - Burning for You
Strauss - Die Fledermaus (Excerpts)
Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff
The Happenings - See You in September
Buckingham-Nicks - Frozen Love
Lindsey Buckingham - Dancin’ Across the USA
Garbage - The World is Not Enough (Rap Version)

The sad thing is - IT’S TRUE! IT’S ALL TRUE!

Do I win for most bizarre/interesting mix?

bob marley - midnight ravers

Okay, now I’m listening to Eat Static’s Abduction, ambient techno that I found out about, surprisingly enough, from the video on M2 when they were showing all the videos in MTV’s vault in alphabetical order. 1.5 hours of “To Forgive” is enough, I think, and someone else came into the office…

“Little Black Heart” from “Minor Earth | Major Sky”… new a-ha album.

If Anthracite gets the prize for the most eclectic mix, can I have the prize for most unexpected reply?

I’d like to get in on a sort of most-eclectic-musical-tastes discussion (in fact, perhaps I will start such a thread) but as for this moment I am just hearing the last notes of “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway” CD1 by Genesis, as well as some voices in my h… er… in the room.

Richard Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll. The original version for 13 instruments. Glenn Gould’s conducting debut and final recording.

It’s on a disc on the computer/CD player in my office…earlier I was listening to Szymanowski’s King Roger, but the young lady in the cubicle outside my office wasn’t happy with it.

Sondheim’s Into the Woods. I must be weird or something.

E.

Peter Cetera.

I’m listening to the pop rock mix on Spinner.com at work. It was Garbage just a second ago. I think I’m going to start up the CD player in a few minutes to listen to Moby.

“Talking John Birch Society Blues,” by Bob Dylan.

And yes, I am a traitor to my generation.

I’m listening to a mix my friend made for my birthday. Right now it’s on Satallite by Dave Matthews. This is the 3rd time I’ve listened to it in a row, but I love it so much. Next up is Coffee Shop by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Pink Floyd’s album The Wall…the song at this particular moment is Young Lust.
