What determines when a perception is delusional? If we are biological machines, then consciousness, and love, are what we perceive them to be, and not delusions. If we are more than biological machines, then neither must be a delusion.
Yeah, I know, I didn’t say it was a very logical opinion. I mean, It’s more cognitive self-defense (and perhaps a rather absurd immature one) than anything else: i.e., disbelief in love could be the default, but suspended when love creates happiness, and retained when it causes pain. But of course, that’s a ridiculously optimistic view, since people in love endure pain because of the happiness love brings them.
