What the heck? What is its purpose? Is it really just to help girls get off?

best. console peripheral. ever.
Almost as strange as the Hello Kitty personal massager
Well, I’m going to buy one this weekend and try it out with my wife. If we have half as much fun as with the kickboxing simulator, this’ll be great!
Rez is a game that was inspired by the works of Kandisnky, a Russian painter. His painting were heavily influenced by music and the game tries to create the same feeling, in fact the game’s title in development was “The K-Project”.
Anyway, the Trance Vibrator was released to try and enhance the experience. Frankly, I find the Kandinsky link a bit exagerated, but as an audio/visual experience Rez can often be quite astounding.
You can read more about it here:

It really is worth getting if you after something different. On a basic level it is simply a shoot-em-up, but by trying to do something different, the way the music evolves and actions and sounds react in time to the music, it becomes something a lot more interesting that a simple blaster.
Anywa, as I said the Trance Vibrator was created to stimulate another of the senses. I’ve never tried (or even seen) one, but going by the feelign of playign Rez in a darkened room with the sound up to 11 I can imagine it woudl be a very interesting experience.
And I was gonna suggest we get together the first week of December.
Haven’t there been some efforts at “personal attachments” for instant messanging technologies in the past? I have seen devices that can be activated via the phone before.
Neat, Kandinsky is one of the very few abstract painters that I actually like. So the adapter really was made to be nothing more than a vibrator?
Umm… cool.
The world needs more software-driven vibrators. I’m imagining one designed to work off dolby-surround signals routed through yer sound card.
“Suddenly, these scenes on the bridge of the Enterprise seem to have some merit…” Heh heh.
(Note-- I really appreciated the pics on that page. Little pervert.)
