I’ve scheduled certain nature events, so I won’t miss them. Last year, I was nearly to late to pick blackberries when I came to my favourite patch in the second week of August, so I’ve scheduled my calender to go look for them last week of July this year.
Same with the swarming of fireflies.
For me it’s shopping for groceries Monday before a big snow storm coming Tuesday and Wednesday. At my stage of the game I don’t plan too far ahead.
August 1, 2011. I’m giving a couple of classes on classical homeschooling at the state organization’s homeschooling conference.
(This is less impressive than it sounds, as it’s always been a very unschooly conference, and they want to attract more diversity, so the members of the board decided to ask people instead of just opening up the roster to whoever wanted to do something. I’m friends with a member of the board, and she said “I know a classical homeschooler, I’ll ask her!”)
July 2, 2011 I’m planning an enormous celebration for my parent’s 70th birthday at a winery in Northern California. We have the caterer all planned and the guests have been invited.
I have a doctor’s appointment on February 23.
Instead of conventional death, I plan to be frozen in liquid nitrogen…I’d like to sleep for 350 years-so, my revival will be sometime after Jan. 30, 2361…
Attending a residential summer course learning Swedish in Upsala for four weeks - July 4th to July 29th 2011.
Leaving for a cruise on 11/18/2011, and then picking up all my mail at the post office afterwards, on 11/28/2011.
Cruise in August. Been scheduled since last summer.
I’m going to have a first birthday party for my son next June 26th. It’s convenient that it falls on the weekend, so I know exactly when we can have it. We’ll see what kind of theme I want when we get closer to the date.
I’ve got the total solar eclipse that will be visible from Sydney in my calendar. That’s on 22 July 2028.
Scrolling down the page, I was going to say the solar eclipse on August 21, 2017. Of course this is the last post I then see.
Fun fact: that date will also be my brother’s 21st birthday.
August 21, 2017. Total solar eclipse across the U.S. I’ll be viewing it from 36°58.5′N 87°39.3′W in Christian County, Kentucky, just northwest of Hopkinsville. At that location, the longest duration of totality will be 2 minutes 40 seconds.
The bar exam: July 29-30… 2014.
That’s mine, too, although I will probably be viewing it further west, because we hope to take the kids (who won’t be kids any more!) to see the American Southwest. Wyoming has been brought up several times as a viewing site - nice and dry in the late summer.
My maternity leave ends March 26, 2012.
Making my last mortgage payment in 2017
I’m planning to celebrate Christmas on December 25th, 2023.
I’m taking a two week vacation to California December 16- Jan 1 2012.
Other things I have planned this year 1 week vacation in Germany July 1- 10 and P.E. exam October 28th. I’ve got some weddings and my 10 year high school reunion but I don’t know their exact dates yet.
