Was that video really necessary?
American Pie by Who-the-Hell-Cares, I just want it to stop.
(Don McClean, I know)
That guy in the glasses is so creepy.
“It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again… afternoon delight”

99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall
12 Days of Christmas
This question has been asked before and Tears of a Clown is a popular whipping boy. Ever much minded that song.
Man, they’re so young and shiny…makes it harder to hate it.
@codinghorror, they missed “Seasons in the Sun” by Terry Jacks.
Boy if that doesn’t make you want to run out and punch somebody I don’t know what will.
Written by the same guy who helped write “Take me home, country roads” to be recorded by John Denver. He should have known better. Can you believe it came in at #12 for the year? Looking at much of this chart, ugh, it was a sad time. Bohemian Rhapsody only made #18. Seriously, I can’t reconcile most of it.
More manure for the pile from other years:
Village People: YMCA, Macho Man
Rod Stewart: Do ya think I’m sexy? Ain’t Love a Bitch?
One song that specifically annoys the living fuck out of me: “Babe” by Styx. Sappy, saccharine, shit.
And the song “Start Me Up” by the Stones. It was overplayed even when it first came out. But then Bill Gates got involved.
Huh! All these years, I thought it was “Starlight Vocal Band.” D’oh!
I think Microsoft using that one is hilarious. Lines like “I can’t compete” and “you make a grown man cry”, and this is supposed to PROMOTE the product? Did anyone at M$ even listen to the whole song?
And in the fade, Mick sings “You’d make a dead man come…”
When I was in college, a writer at the college newspaper said he realized he was an adult when he heard “The Night Chicago Died” and really didn’t think it was that bad of a song.

I’m getting reports that this video is auto-playing on thread load, which shouldn’t be happening, but I’m not seeing it. If anyone can provide any further information about problems, I’ll try to fix it, but until then, there’s nothing I can do.
In the summer of '77 there was a Starland Vocal Band TV show that was mercifully short-lived. This episode was hosted by David Letterman:
Wow! I thought I was the last person on Earth who remembered this!
It doesnt autoload for me.
It autoplays for me. Firefox (latest version, I can’t find the actual number now) with uBlock Origin.
Do you use NoScript?
No, I don’t use NoScript.
Maybe that blocked autoplay??
