Saw a movie ten years ago or so, I think the film dates back to the early or mid 80’s, and I THINK it’s Australian (can’t remember for sure).
It’s about a guy who wakes up – and everyone is gone. No corpses, no trace… just everyone is missing (though he eventually finds a few other people who are still around).
Can anyone figure out the movie who knows the title?

Does the book explain the ending?
I don’t think so. I think I’d remember that.
However, I can’t verify it since it’s still in my packed-up boxes of books from my move last year.
Maybe 1990 was the year it was released on home video?
Very possibly. Shame it’s not on DVD now.
Actually, it is, but only in the UK.
Possible, but I’m pretty sure I rented it while I was still in high school, which would have put it before 1990. IMDb, btw, lists the laserdisc release as 1986.
