What is the technical name for the eyeglass piece that goes from the lens/frame and rests on your ear?
I believe that is the “pad arm”.
I’ve always heard it referred to as the temple, or temple piece. I don’t know if that’s the technical name, but that’s how all the eyeglass fitters refer to it.
No, it’s the “temple arm,” or sometimes “temple piece.”

There are several different terms for different materials used.
It’s called a “monocle”. Very famous.
In Australia, and probably the UK too, it is often referred to as the “sidearm”.
I thought it was called the bow, that’s what my optometrist always called it.
I second calling it the ‘bow’. That’s what I always heard.

In the US, “sidearms” are for shootin’ people that didn’t give you your 'props downtown.
But that’s different. In the US, we call the “going over the ear bits” of glasses temples, probably because it goes past that part of your head. A monacle is what “Klink” from “Hogan’s Heroes” wore in one eye.
