I’ve seen this in cartoons and as party favors. You hold one end at the mouth and blow, and the other end unrolls like an opening spiral, with a sound that’s mix between a whistle and a Bronx cheer. I even saw it on * MAS*H. * I thought it was called a "flutter whistle. " What is its correct name?

When I was a kid I thought “blowout” meant the wind blew your hat off.
I experienced a REAL blowout on the freeway one night. Scared the hell out of me. :eek:
