It’s “Duuh Duuh Duh Duh Duh-Duh. Duh-da-da-da-duuh Duh duh Duh-duh.”
Turn up your speakers.
Definitely Black Sabbath, probably War Pigs, I think.
Make that Electric Funeral.
I had always thought that lick was just a generic metallish thing that Mike Judge made up so as to avoid always relying on known classics.
At first I was like Cheech n Chong no name tune…but then I was like…Black Sabbath…holy crap I cant isolate it…
Thanks! I could identify all the other songs Beavis & Butt-head played on air guitar (“Paradise City,” “Smoke on the Water,” “Iron Man,” etc.), but I’ve never heard “Electric Funeral” before.
That’s funny, it reminds me of Earache My Eye as well!
Following that link led enabled me to track down “Fiberweed Van Theme”! I’ve been looking for that for a long time!
That is a great soundtrack! The band, IIRC, is called Yesca.
Joe
Then what is the song they play on air guitar in “Right On” at about 2:16-2:26?
Other songs I’ve noticed them play include “Rooster” by Alice in Chains (when Sgt. Dick Leakey refers to himself as “The Rooster.”
I’m watching that episode, but I don’t see the part where they play air guitar. I do like Beavis’s chant of “the chair! The chair! The chair!”
It sounds like “There Goes the Neighborhood” by Body Count, a heavy metal band that used to perform with rapper Ice T.
Was the new season a couple of summers ago just a one off? I was hoping for a new season each summer, like Futurama.
Best.
Song.
Ever.
