The latter, for sure. I mean: Anna Paquin as Rogue…puhleeze. And Rebecca Stamos as Mystique…you really need somebody like Faye Dunaway in that part, not a supermodel cum actress…Yeah I realize it’s only a super hero movie but that does not preclude doing it right. After all, they got two really good actors for the male leads…
All you need to start an asylum is an empty room and the right kind of people.
Without a doubt, the best comic-book heroine is Laureline, from the series Valérian, agent spatio-temporel. Valerian is the nominal hero of the series, but he’s a bumbling, well-meaning idiot, and Laureline has to go rescue him almost every time. She is the intelligence and he’s the brawn. All-in-all, she is the best combination of brains and beauty that I’ve encountered in comic bookdom.
Just before I quit collecting, Dark Horse Comics came out with several new books. One of these was Ghost. I only read the first couple of issues, but I liked her a lot.
Of course, there’s also “Omaha, Cat-Dancer”. I’d put up a link, but there might be young’uns around.
Mr. K’s Link of the Month:
What is John Kricfalusi (“Ren and Stimpy”) doing these days?
wow, I was gonna say “without a doubt.”
Strange.
Anyway, the baddest ass chic is defintely
FAKK 2, but she isn’t my favorite.
I think Sarah Pezzini, current weilder of the Witchblade is the baddest all around babe of all. Rougue has always been one of my favorites too. Ladydeath is cool, and so is Elektra.
There are so many it’s hard to decide, but Witchblade is the best.
Noonch.
