What is YOUR favorite crayon???

My favorite is Cornflower.

And I really liked the “Maize” crayon because I thought it worked best for drawing blond hair. But then they got rid of it.

I like the “mauve” 1 that i think only came in the big boxes
and i hat white whenever i tried to use it near the other colors on the paper all it did was smear

My favorites are the scented crayons that Crayola put out a couple of years ago. I have both sets, the ones that smell like foods and the ones that smell like other things. I would have a hard time picking one favorite, but New Car (dark blue) is pretty cool.

Re Racer’s list: Wouldn’t some of those make good band names? Neon Carrot, High Performance Teal, Shiny Shamrock, …

Raw umber, raw sienna and burnt sienna were my tops.

Loved teal. Just such a cool name.
Liked copper too, but it left a waxy build-up, and never went on evenly.

Hated salmon. Looked too weird for me.
Ditto with sea green.

“fuzzy wuzzy brown”?!?!? Is there a link to see how these colors differ from one another? I mean, what’s the difference between ‘white’ and 'ghost white"? Or is it a re-marketing thing I don’t understand?

I also liked cornflower. Seemed like such an odd name but very soothing to say. I’ve never seen a cornflower (if there is such a plant) so I thought it was cool to know the color of something I’d never seen.

“Flesh,” because it’s stupid.

Favorite: magenta

Least favorite: Add me to the list for white. It was so annoying – you’d want to draw something white, like snow, but it wouldn’t work anyway.

** mongrel_8** - thanks for reminding me about Prussian Blue. I loved the name, even though I didn’t like the color much.

I still describe some things in terms of crayon colors, especially sky blue and sea green.

i have been to the crayola factory, i shopped at the crayola store.

favourite: blue grey

hated: red

Vivid Tangerine was my favorite. So bright. So exciting. So daring. But there was never much to be colored orange, so I drew lots of pictures of the sun.

Least favorite - that disgusting salmon color that you had to press really hard with the crayon to get it to show up, and when it did show up, it was ugly.

It was amazing how the silver crayon was really cool and sparkly, and the gold crayon just looked like crap and it was always clumpy and streaky.

olive green is my favourite crayon, I make as much of the clothes that colour as i can, everytime.

macaroni and cheese is another good one, my best friend in high school dyed her hair that colour for about a month.

i HATED the florescent ones, Peppermint! I also hated cornflower, blue is ugly to begin with (IMO, obviously), why ruin it more?

My favorite used to be lemon yellow. . .but they retired it. Fortunately, when they created the shamrock color, I was able to find a new favorite.

My least favorite was either salmon or raw umber. Yech.

Red.

No… blue.
Aaaaaiiiiiiiieeeeegggggghhhhhhh!!!

lol. lieu

racer, wow, good one. You can find out ANYTHING on the sdmb.

I’ll say I like white because I always cheer for the underdog.

My favorite was always cornflower as well. Such a pretty shade of blue!

And I did NOT like burnt sienna. I really disliked brown as a kid.

Here are some of the less well known, well, actually rejected colors:

Lake Michigan blue

Hey, White isn’t completely useless. You can blend colors with it.
