I went on a date last week with a guy, quirky but fun at the time. Anywho he was the first guy to ever ask me “What’s your favorite crayon? What’s your least favorite crayon?” Of all the things to ask… I thought it was a pretty genius thing to ask because I think the color of choice that one used most often is a good indication as to what kind of person one is. So if you’d like to know… My favorite crayon was Brick Red because it wasn’t as annoying and vibrant as RED… my least favorite crayon was Burnt Sienna because wasn’t exactly orange, nor was it brown… What were yours? and why?
my favorite was a blue called something unpronouncable, like “cerulean” or something. i can’t remember since as a child, i never could pronounce it. and my least favorite was carnation pink. it looked like it was going to be so pretty, but then when you drew with it, it looked all streaky and ugly.
Hmmmm… opens the Crayola Big Box of Crayons next to her computer and starts sorting through
Denim.
Least favorite is white. It’s useless on white paper and almost useless on colored paper.
Favorite: midnight blue, thick, vibrant, and almost velvety
Least Favorite: periwinkle, too waxy, the color was weak and splotchy

My favorite color is that light red strawberry sumthinorother. My least favorite is that one that’s kind of yellowy-brown. I don’t remember what it’s called. Every time I see it the word “putrid” pops into my mind.
My favourite crayon is black.

My favorite color was blue-green. (NOT to be confused with green-blue, there was a difference)
My least favorite color was white. As someone said before, what a completely USELESS crayon. Even on colored paper, it didn’t work.
However, my favorite crayon name was “periwinkle”. I dunno why…It’s just stuck with me over the years. Come to think of it, I can’t remember having used it either.
Did anyone ever get the big box of like 96 crayons. why 96 I’m not sure, but did you get the section with the Florescent colors??? I always had a section of Florescent Crayons…But never did I use any of them… Did you ???
When I was a kid, the Big Khahuna box had 64 colors, so I don’t know about all these new-fangled flavors. (You had to buy a separate set to get the fluorescents, but that was just too way out there for the likes of me.)
Anyway, my favorite color was “raw umber” because of the intriguing name. What was raw about it? What was umber? Who would use this crayon?
My least favorite color was also “raw umber.” What did it think it was doing, confusing me like that? The actual hue was, just wrong. What kind of psycho would color something with a crayon called “raw umber”?
The love-hate relationship with this crayon left me a quite conflicted child.
I loved copper.
White was useless.

White was useless.
I adore burnt sienna. While not necessarily the most beautiful of colors, I love the name!
My fave was sea green
My least favorite was burnt sienna
Favourite “Indina Red” now called “Chestnut” (though if IIRC the original name was based on a particular pigment commonly found in India, but they changed the name because people thought it was based on racist notions of the skin tone Native Americans).
I loved Indian Red because it was a rich red that wasn’t so fire engine bright as “red.”
I hated all “skin tones” because they were all weird peachy colours that gave me the creeps (still do!)
I loved the silver crayon, it only came in some size boxes and always seemed to be used up the fastest. I guess I just wasn’t into realism as a child, all my refrigerator drawings had people with silver hair and eyes in silver shoes who lived in cerulean houses.
Come to think of it, I rather wish I had silver hair and eyes and lived in a cerulean house. Oh well, I’ll have to make do with brown hair and green eyes and a yellow house. At least I’m not burnt sienna.
My favorite crayon is the late great Prussian Blue.
My least favorite was probably those mutt crayons, the ones that aren’t exactly any color. Like yellow-green, burnt sienna
Definitely black because it allowed me to alter the coloring book drawings prior to coloring it in.
My least favorite is the eggshell blue color they had. Can’t remember the name of it even after reviewing the list above. But it was a pretty wimpy color.
