Graham Crackers for me. Especially good with peanut butter.
Cheese Nips and Dare’s Breton crackers are probably my favourites.
Cheese-its and the choice was easy.
I actually like the Trader Joe’s knock-off of Wheat Thins (“Reduced Guilt Wheat Crisps”) better than the real thing. I loved the real ones when I was a kid, but I find them a bit too heavy and salty now.
The husband loves the Cheez-it duos: I think there is one with Smokey Cheddar that he loves.
Just a tip- if you like club crackers, you will love the flipside pretzel crackers. They are essentially club crackers with the soda water crispy brown finish of a pretzel.
Wheat Thins. Those go from “I’m just gonna have a couple” to “. . .why is the box empty?” so fast, it’s scary.
Your forgot. . .Chicken in a Biskit
No not really. Well, you did but they are not my favorite.
I did answer too soon. I selected Cheez-Its, because they currently top my roster. If budget was less of a concern I’d have chosen Wisecrackers brand Roasted Garlic and Rosemary crackers. I’ve gotten them at Trader Joe’s and Target. They’re quite yummy.
ANd just for the sake of clarity, when I think of “snack crackers” I think of ones you just eat without putting anything on them or them into anything. I have other favorites for under cheese and in soup.
I love Cheez-Its, and I can eat a whole box of Wheat Thins at a time, but nothing beats The Snack That Smiles Back…
Goldfish!
I never shop at regular grocery stores but almost exclusively at Trader Joe’s. They have some SERIOUSLY bad-ass addictive crackers; Pumpernickle Pretzles, Cosmic Potatoes Puffs, Corn a Copious, BBQ-flavored Soy Crisps…
<sigh>
My kids went through a serious Goldfish addiction when they were tiny and I still can’t stomach 'em now, so I rarely have them in the house.
But it’s all about Triscuits, especially the rosemary ones. NOM. I do weep at what my beloved Vegetable Thins became – those were my very favorite for years until the recipe got completely jacked.
Tam-tams and anything Trader Joe’s. Also Wasa 7 grain crisp and light. I like a wide variety in my cracker choices.
Triscuits. Rosemary and olive oil, black pepper, or rye with caraway seeds.
Whitney Houston
As for my favourite cracker, it has to be Arnott’s Shapes, all flavours except for Dixie Drumsticks, which are gross.
Chicken In A Biskit is my fave, 'specially w/swiss cheese.
I voted Wheat Thin; they’re my go-to for basic cracker snacking any more, especially the interesting flavor varieties out now. I’ve also been digging the Ritz Chips varieties.
Never really have understood the love for the Cheez-It type of cheese crackers, as they’re typically too oily/salty and not very cheesy. I mean, they’re good, but not great; nearly every other cheese cracker is better-- Kraft Macaroni and Cheese crackers, the cheese Ritz Chips, even the Swiss Cheese crackers. That said, I can happily chow down on almost any cracker, from saltines to those weird water crackers you always find in crummy gift sets of stale tea packets. Even Cheez-Its.
My favorite cracker of all time was the Keebler’s Munch 'Ems Chili Cheese cracker, part of the short-lived Southwestern flavor brand extension (the cracker shapes were even meant to evoke Southwestern art). It was only around for a few years in the 1990s, was inexplicably reformulated and became less tasty, then discontinued.
Trscuits are the only ones that count. Many many years ago Keebler ventured into the arena of pure-wheat no sugar flour gummy crap crackers that have generally been Triscuits alone. It was a smaller cracker, with holes in it, and instead of shreds of wheat, they were made from nuggets of wheat and were absolutely delicious.
SO of course they were discontinued.
Word. I went through a serious Wheatables addiction back when the damn things first introduced, but had surprisingly little trouble going cold turkey when they changed the recipe. Assholes.
I voted here for Cheez-Its. The White Cheddar variety is scrumptious. Mmmmm.
If I recall the labels correctly, the Rosemary ones have MSG in them. I think people like MSG way more than they realize. The Pepper and Olive Oil ones don’t have it. Those are my favorite, with a little schmear of cream cheese and a fresh crackin’ of tri-color peppercorns on top, too!
Oh, absolutely I’m almost positive that’s why my favorite are chiken biskit and vegetable thins. If I’m going to snack on a plain cracker I want the flavor that MSG brings.
