Bigelow’s Plantation Mint tea, unsweetened: steep the bag for about 10-20 minutes, then pour hot tea over cool water with lotsa ice, to both water down and cool down. I generally carry 1 tea bag in my purse just to make sure I have it when I need it.
I used to be a mountain dew drinker, and that was my first beverage in the morning. Then it turned into my first beverage and my first bout of heartburn for the day.
Normally a big glass of water or a mug of tea (brand depends on what I bought; currently Typhoo) with skimmed milk and three sugars. Sometimes it’ll be a pint of apple juice.
This reminds me. If the previous night’s entertainment involved a movie, pizza and some booze then my preferred drink is an ice cold lager or cider. I’ll save a can in the fridge just so I can do that. Beer, cold pizza and a ciggy is the breakfast of champions.
Columbian coffee with just a bit of Baileys as a creamer. I’m sure measuring the insignificant alcohol content is no more difficult than determining a DNA profile from someone’s fingernail.
OK. On a more serious note, I take a glass of water to bed each night. So first thing in the morning I usually have a few gulps of that. Then, on weekdays anyway, my coffee is already brewed, and I pour myself a cup: black. Then I have another cup. Then I take a cup on the road. At work I’ll have another couple of cups: all black.
