What is your Myers Briggs personality type?

I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that most of you are INTJ or INTP.

BECAUSE REASONS.

No idea what that is. I’m more of a Briggs & Stratton guy.

^ Dorothy Stratton?

ISFJ.

It was long ago and I don’t remember the test, just the phrase to remember the results: I steal fine jewelry.

Perhaps you should lie down on the couch and tell us all about it.

Why can’t we be both, depending on our mood when taking the test? Or we just want to mess with the testgiver? Had a job where the boss paid a guy to give us all the test. I don’t remember my result but Boss claimed it described me perfectly. I didn’t mess it up on purpose so I suppose it was some sort of INxx.

Now there’s a clearly outlined argument. “Reasons.” Thanks for that.

So do horoscopes. Meyers-Briggs is about equally as useful.

You would say that, being a Taurus and all.

Yeah. I’d really trust a test that wasn’t asking me questions about myself more. I mean, I’m going to give the answers that I want to be true, right?

It’s usually INXP. X = sometimes barely T and sometimes barely F.

I lean towards Smith & Wesson myself. Which, in terms of the OP, could actually mean something about us both.

I know. I was going to mention it, but left it hanging, like some sort of delicious fruit.

Had to take a “what’s your best major?” test before returning to college to take a couple engineering classes. Tried to rig it so it would say I was perfectly suited for engineering (I’m not, really) but the guy interpreting it asked, “Wouldn’t you really rather be a perpetual student?”

Nailed me, but I said there was no money in it.

I’m the type who wants nothing to do with Myers Briggs.

INXP just hasn’t been the same since Hutchence died.

I’d hit that.

We do this thread every now and then. So far I always seem to be the Dope’s only ISFP. But then again, you wouldn’t expect us to speak up.

Give me the test and I will get you whatever result you are looking for. After years in HR interpreting these tests and matching them to positions/attributes, I can hack the hell out of the thing.

Dorothy Parker (but she was wrong about the glasses).

The index is self-declared. Most people choose the attributes they wish they had, not the ones they have, so the index mostly reflects characteristics that are considered favorable

Suppose a simple test, one question: Are you wiser than most people? Would the results be 50% Yes and 50% No, to reflect the actual demographic? Or any other question. Are you a better driver than average? Do you have better taste in music than average? Do you watch mostly good TV shows? Is your baby cuter than most? Does your pet annoy other people?
