Used to be once a month until Quebec made that illegal. Now its the 15t and last, or the last working day before those dates. We actually used to be paid on the 14th and penult, but they decided to improve their cash flow by one day. So I am to be paid next Wednesday. If I look at my account at 11:59 PM on Tuesday, the pay will not be there, but if I look at 12:01 AM on Wednesday, it will be.
We also used to get the second December pay before Christmas (around the 20th) but that disappeared a couple years ago. I imagine it was so payroll could take the week off between Christmas and New Years, but it is so thoroughly automated that it no longer matters.
Last working day of the month. That’s made March painfully long.
This for me too except the pay is to be available in our account ON the 15th and the last day, to ensure this they normally put it in the day before and if these days fall on a non-business day it is always paid early.
I pay myself fortnightly though.
The college I’ve worked for has bounced it around. I used to get paid on the 10th for my nonteaching job and on the last biz day of the month for teaching. Finally they are putting it all together into the last biz day…except for December, when they send it out around the 21st.
You’re just asking so you can drop by with a couple of beers, in the evening next time I get paid. Then you will make small talk and beat around the bush for awhile and then finally get around to asking to borrow $50 bucks.
Well, you never paid back the last $50. And you spent the following 6 months avoilding me and having your sister call relaying a sob storya about yada, yada, yada…
Well, I’m not falling for it this time.
10th of every month, unless the 10th falls on a holiday. Then the day before or after, depending.
We have no option other than direct deposit. Usually comes in around 3pm the day of.
Husband gets paid monthly on the 18th (weird day to pick!) and I get paid around the 3rd of the month. It means we have a roughly two week gap between deposits into the bank account which is nice.
I get paid sporadically, on all different days of the week depending on who I might have worked for. Sometimes I go a couple of months without drawing a paycheck or having an invoice paid.
Ditto. Every 7 years, we get 27 pay periods.
Which was last year for us. Was a nice surprise.
Today, Friday is my payday for one job and Wednesday for the other.
Every other Friday. I got paid yesterday, as a matter of fact. It annoys me because my paydays are constantly changing and figuring out which check goes for what bills and rent and whatnot is a PITA. I’d rather the 1st and 15th. It’d be predictable that way.
Every two weeks, on Thursdays. I’ve set up most of my bills to coincide with that; it’s useful to not have to worry about what bill goes with what paycheck.
I’m paid on the 15th and 30th with a two week lapse, meaning the paycheck I’ll get on Tuesday will be for work March 1 - 15. Is that usual anymore?
Every second Friday then my wife also gets paid every second Friday.
So it works out we get a pay cheque every Friday!
Fortnightly, on Thursdays.
