I know we all have usernames here, and that’s all well and good, but I want to know which name you’d use to check into a hotel anonymously or similar.
Would you use a humorous pun?

Something generic like John Doe?
A name you heard once and thought “hey, that’s cool, wish I was called that”?
An anagram of your real name?
Your favourite TV, Film or literary character?

Well, she’s out this week in the hospital. She broke her leg skiing!”

Unless I’m trying very hard not to be found, I’d probably check in under a translation of my real name, into French or German. Jacques Leroy, or Jakob Koenig.
Or combine that with ‘fictional character that I like’ and go Spanish, taking the current Blue Beetle’s civilian name, Jaime Reyes.
If I AM trying really hard not to be found, then I’d just choose a random first name, and a random last name from the phone book. Or go the cliché route and go with ‘John Smith’.
