What jobs do you hire out in the MMP?

sari, the first three months I had Nelson, I dropped 20 pounds from taking his little butt out 6 times a day and playing fetch at least 100 times. :stuck_out_tongue:

Moooom, yay for taking classes after re-retirement! Not only will you learn something, you’ll be a good example for RoxStar.

Irked, came home, walked the dog, swept and mopped and am now eating supper. Chillage later this evening.

I hire someone to rake the yard and blow pine straw off the roof.

It’s usually 9 to 10 bags each time. I have the yard raked twice during the Fall.

I did it for many years. It’s really nice letting someone else spend the day stuffing plastic yard bags. I don’t mind the expense at all.

Evening all. It’s Fall break here (school closes for a week) so I gave the kids Mon-Wed off from soccer practice and I’m just house-hanging. Nappage this afternoon, so will try to stay up late. It’s 68F outside and cloudy, if I could save this day for another two months…

FCM, we’ll see who wears out first…And good on ya for taking classes–I should, just too lazy.

Sari, kids do the same thing.

Butters, glad you survived the drive and Husband-unit is doing OK.

All y’all take care.

heh well I technically I hire relatives to help me with things and the state pays them via this program http://dpss.lacounty.gov/wps/portal/dpss/main/programs-and-services/in-home-supportive-services/!ut/p/b1/04_SjzQ0tTQ0sTQ1MzbSj9CPykssy0xPLMnMz0vMAfGjzOLdDAwM3P2dgo3cfYBMR_8AJ2-vsEADEzMToIJIZAUGvmFuBp5Bhsa-Tu7mRhZhhoT0e-lHpefkJwGtCtePQlWMxSywAgMcwNFA388jPzdVPzcqxyI7y0QRAJW75nA!/dl4/d5/L2dJQSEvUUt3QS80SmtFL1o2X0YwMDBHT0JTMjBFNkEwQU9TSjFVOEsxU1Y2/ …what i usually receive are naggy pita parents I’ve never wanted

My vasectomy, best $200.00 I ever spent.

Worked, laundered, voted(voter #355). Canes won again:).

red, first day I had Gordie, we went for a 3 mile jog, followed but 3 hours of fetch. I ended up collapsing on the floor, too weak to reach my beer.

sari, eek!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 72 Amurrkin out and cloudy (well, dark) with a predicted high of 87 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Today I shall lay in provisions, deal with [del]church janitor[/del] Junior Warden duties over to the church house, and make sup which shall be beef enchiladas, rice, and refried beans with fartfest to follow. OLÉ!

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas, alack, and all sorts of bother, I must purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

I’m a bad girl: I haven’t started my new project yet and I’m already taking two days off (one for a highly-overdue doctor’s visit, one to travel back without trying to break every radar between my doctor’s office and the airport). Hopefully my new boss will be ok with that, considering I’m actually joining the team early…

And we all appreciate your sacrifice…

As for the class, I’ve always wanted to learn sign language and this is the first time it’s being offered at the campus nearest me at a time the doesn’t interfere with work (which I won’t be doing this spring.) Roxy already knows a few signs - I bought her a baby sign language book, so she can ask for “more” and “eat”. I plan to teach her as I learn.

Meanwhile, today won’t get out of the 60s and I didn’t think to wear a sweater or hoodie. Luckily, it’s a quick dash from my car to the building, so I’ll survive. And it’s lots cooler now than it will be at quitting time.

So, Happy Wednesday!!!

Happy Hump Day!

It rained overnight so who knows when the rug will dry out.
It’s an 8x10 and it was dripping when I dragged it outside. I imagine it’s dripping even more now. I’d spread it out on the deck if my deck was higher off the ground and air could get under it. I supposed I could use the wet vac.
Well, I’d been wanting to pull up the rugs and clean under them. Just didn’t plan on it being like this.

On the agenda for today is laundry, a mess of towels that need to be washed.
I am ready to kill my son - I bought hand towels for the bathroom - and he pulled out the biggest, bulkiest, heaviest bath sheet to use to dry his hands.
We have had this discussion several times. I bought hand towels in a totally different color so they stand out and we don’t have to pick through the different towels to find them.
I can add straightening the linen closet to my list of things to do.
It’s overdue.

Guess I’d better get up and get moving, or nothing will get done.

I debating whether or not to take the dogs to day care. They already went Moonday, and they will be going again Firday, because I have to drive down to the armpit for a doctor appointment. Three days in one week is a lot, but having them gone makes it easier for me to get stuff done. I have some errands I need to run and they can’t go with me.
And it’s raining, so the dog park will not be so much fun. Yesterday only two other people showed up, and one didn’t stay long.

I lost 13 pounds after I got Ripple. A lot of getting up and down when there is a puppy in the house. Then I cut carbs and lost another 80 pounds.

I think I’ll just take them to daycare.
I have way too much to do around here. I need to figure out what to do with the kitchen floor while the rug is up. I’ll pull out the wood putty stuff and fill in the gouges.

It has now been October 9th everywhere. That makes me officially 50 years old today.

Happy BatBoy Day!! I guess you’re officially an old geezer now!

I’ve been busy, but I’m having a tough time staying motivated. I’m just tired of doing all this stuff. 28 regularly scheduled work days till retirement… Yeah, I’m counting.

Happy Birthday BatBoy!
Pups are off at daycare.
The sun has come out, so I’m hoping the rug will dry out.
If not, my son can pull out the wet vac and do what he can.

Blurf Here Blurf

Happy Birthday Batboy

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. Gordie is snoring in the hallway.

HAPPY BATBOY DAY!!!

Youngster! I have you beat by 7 years today. We have been in Ark mode for several hours, with flood alerts disturbing my sleep. The Northeast wind has the house moaning. I went on a diet destroying trip yesterday as a present to myself–Arby’s, Cinnabon and DQ–and to give the new car a trip, as the nearest Arby’s is a hour away.

I was also hunting apples, as this weekends mission will be applesauce. However, it seems the weather this year was not conductive to producing apples. Locally, when you can find any, a lunch bag sized bag of apples is going for 9 bucks. Methinks I’m going to the supermarket where they are 89 cents a pound. One orchard surprised me, they had these supersized apples that were grapefruit sized–at two for six bucks!

Happy Birthday Batboy

and Happy Birthday Alien

Up early, need to find sustenance here shortly, but temperature is 64F and I’m just enjoying the (non)-sound of my AC.

Shoot, flytrap, $200 for a vascetomy? I imagine spidey or ruble
would have done it for free!

All y’all take care now.

FCM, does Roxy have hearing issues? I’m just being nosy.

Irked yesterday, went to the barn and rode the red-head. Was home by 6:30, supped on leftovers, and went to bed at 8. Am I old???

Happy birfday, Batboy!!!

Walked Gordie, now time for redneck breakfast tacos for brunch

I got a Sawzall and a fifth of bourbon. I guarantee results*

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALIEN!!!

*[sub][sub]maybe not the results you want, or even good results, but I guarantee some sort of result.[/sub][/sub]

No, tho as she closes in on her Terrible Twos, she’s got a few listening issues…

We’d read that children learn signs before they’re verbal, so her parents picked out a few signs that have proven to be helpful. And since I’m a big advocate for knowing as many languages as possible, I intend to teach her signing as I learn it, and once she’s vocal, she’s going to learn a little French and a little Spanish, too.

LUNCH TIME!!

Happy Alien Day!!!

All you young 'uns… :stuck_out_tongue:
