We have actually had a bunch of these over the years even if they didn’t start out as true “Ask The” threads. They still functioned like them.
Off the top of my head:
Ask the porn worker (publisher, videographer, editor, actor/actress, etc.)
Ask the prison guard
Ask the commercial airline pilot
Ask the 9/11 survivor
Ask the straight-A student (either college or someone who was one in high school)
Ask the former Scientologist
These have all been covered. I could do a few myself like Ask the Straight ‘A’ Student and Ask The Functional Alcoholic. These both occurred in the past but oddly started at the same time during very demanding times through undergraduate and Ivy League grad school.

We have done that one as well at least once and probably multiple times during my more than 7 years here. I am starting to believe we are serving most curiosity needs. Not all of these are labeled as “Ask The” however so it may take some work to find them and some won’t show up on searches because they are too old.
I don’t think any of mine are going to happen:
Ask the Supreme Court judge
Ask the World War One Veteran
Ask the shape shifter
Ask the pacifist
Ask the Greek Thief of Legend, because I’m an attention whore ^^
I think I am a pacifist, but I’d be afraid to try that one on these boards! And I am not anti-violence in every circumstance, so I probably don’t truly fit…however I feel being anti-violence or war in every situation bar none is being woefully naive.

Not to go off the thread, but isn’t everyone a pacifist? OK, except maybe for jihadists or other religious fanatics. Maybe I should start a thread on this in GD?
I want to do the “Ask Jesus” thread.
I was actually serious about Ask the men’s tailor. Tailoring is traditionally a secretive trade, and one where English is typically your second language (unless you actually are English).
I’d also like to have the chance to Ask the homeopath. They’ve always seemed a slightly woowoo crowd to me, with their super-dilute concentrations of this and that.
Hm… don’t know. What do you define as a pacifist? Most people that I have asked vehemently do *not *define themselves as pacifists, and indeed express disdain and disgust for people that term themselves as such. *I *think they have entirely the wrong idea of what “pacifist” is supposed to mean, but that’s just me.
Although I must warn you I may or may not participate in the GD thread. Never really saw the point of debating on the Intranets.
Pacifist no longer looks like it’s spelled right. Pacifist pacifist pacifist. Smashifist.
And, yet, there’s my sig, just sitting around waiting for an opportunity like this.
I would like to see an “Ask the Celebrity” thread, but there’s obivous problems with that one.
