What kind of "Ask the" threads are you hoping for?

How… cryptic…

How so?

I would like to see a Ask the Holocaust survivor thread. And if it’s been done, I want to see more.

That’s essentially what everyone’s doing with this thread.

In that vein, I personally could do:
Ask the former bank teller who got held up
Ask the former fireworks salesman
Ask the first-year law student
Ask the carpenter
Ask the former loan processor
Ask the guy in a long-distance relationship
Ask the Kansan
Ask the recovering English major
Ask midwestern ex-pat who has just moved to the East Coast
Ask the guy who’s spent a long day studying at the library, and is now about halfway through his second double bourbon on the rocks

…but I don’t see much demand for any of those. Except maybe the last one.

Still here, just haven’t been around as much because work and happy personal things are sucking up all my Internet time

And yes, I did start a thread like that once. I spent the fall 1989 semester in then-Leningrad and the summer 2005 semester in Novosibirsk - it’s been far too long. I need to get back to the former USSR one of these days.

Ask the Glossophobiac?

Definitely ask the trepanist (trepanner?).

Okay, I’m sorry. I know it’s been 13 days since there were any replies to this thread. I kept seeing it and meant to answer but I couldn’t think of anything, but I have an answer now:

Ask the Drug Enforcement Administration special agent.
