What kind of junk food do you have access to right now?

Define junk any way you like.

I have Kraft Mac & Cheese (probably expired since I never get a chance to eat it). A box of assorted Ferrero Rocher someone gave us for Christmas. Half a bag of tortilla chips left over from making taco salad the other day. That’s it!
So, share with me! I guess I’ve got the munchies.

Corn chips, hazelnuts, peanuts, dried fruit, ice cream, cheese. Several types of holiday candy, all with chocolate. A few chocolate bars of 70% or higher. Root beer. Ginger beer. Liquor.

There’s also chocolate, maple sugar candies, and salami for Christmas stockings if we got desperate.

Like, within my dwelling? Right now, I’ve got some cola, some chocolate-covered cherries that I splurged on that aren’t nearly as good as they used to be, a spattering of other candy, tortilla chips and dip, ice cream, and frozen pizzas and burritos if you count those.

Well, that too, but I’m definitely not counting those as “junk”.

I’m ashamed to say! We have three packages of Pepperidge Farms cookies, a bag of M&M’s, some mini-Turtles candy, potato chips (baked!), Fritos (low-salt!), a bar of Ghirardelli dark chocolate, a bar of Lindt milk chocolate with hazelnuts, and three flavors of ice cream. That’s not counting the Christmas candy that’s destined for stockings, but no one gets to open that until Christmas, so it’s like it isn’t in the pantry.

In my defense, a lot of that has been sitting around for a long time, and the actual meals we eat tends to be quite healthy!

ETA: I refuse to count cheese, bread, or fruit of any kind in the category.

Dark chocolate chips, veggie straws, tortilla and veggie chips, and a bag of Kisses, but those are committed to gift baskets.

Walmart brand (Sunbelt Bakery) Oats & honey granola bars. Only 120 calories. Like them because they’re chewy.

Other major brands are too hard. Might chip a tooth.

Pepperidge Farm Chessmen butter cookies. You’ll usually find them on my counter. I love a simple butter cookie that’s slightly sweet.

I don’t keep any junk food around as I have very little self control. Sad! Actually, I could easily just make junk food, but my inherent laziness usually wins out.

I have half a bag of potato chips and around 15 cookies, several different varieties, leftovers from an office holiday party at lunchtime. There are a few chocolate bars somewhere, and some Pocky that my daughter asked me to buy when it was on sale at Costco:
Pocky

You’re totally winning the thread at this point.

I love Pocky.

Peanut butter crackers are a must have in my lunch box. Recently switched from Lances to Munchies. Fresher taste and baked.

The only thing that I have that counts (I think) is some packages of sugar free jelly (jello). I only have them because I was explaining what a simulacrum is to some folks at work.

One two oz bag of potato chips.

Cheese, nuts and whole grain breads are not junk food!

Now, we do have a good supply of our version of fast food around. I pre-cook bacon, sausages and egg bites that only need a few seconds in the nuke before eating and have frozen cookie dough in the freezer just in case I need something freshly baked due to the munchies.

Oh lordy.
I’m so restricted that my junk food wouldn’t appeal to any one.Mostly yogurt and fruit and veggies. I can sometimes eat popcorn.

Mid-dau keeps Lil Debbie and cookies around. There is fruit always. And she cuts cheese cubes, celery and carrot sticks, all for her young boys. It’s always a fight to keep them eating healthy. Mainly because they will eat absolutely anything. I have homemade chicken liver cat treats they will eat. (All people food, no additives).

My druthers would be ice cream, cake and salty things. I love Chex mix. Pretzels would be nice.
I used to like just peanut butter on lowly saltine crackers. Raisins are fun.

I have an irrational fear that my doctor will tell me I need to increase my caloric intake and there won’t be any medicine available in the way of snacks. I’ve got brownie bits, snow caps, potato chips, and frozen candy bars just in case. Fortunately I have type-2 diabetes so I have to consume them sparingly. Once you stop eating lots of sugar it actually loses it’s appeal anyway. Even the stress munchies at work are scaled back. I’m slowly losing weight. Damn you giant salads.

Yeah. My doctor does say more calories. Gain weight.
It’s damn hard when you can’t scarf down candy, cake and cookies.
Carbs are bad.

Apples and cucumbers don’t put weight on.

Not counting actual food like cheese, fruit, honey, and bread, we have:

  • A candy jar full of Starburst jellybeans that’s been around since Methuselah was a lad
  • Some Kraft macaroni & cheese
  • Quite a bit of Top ramen
  • probably a dozen cans of SpaghettiOs
  • Some random leftover baked goods from a Christmas party we just attended
  • Probably some Fritos, but I’m too lazy to go look. My wife likes Frito Pie so I’m guessing we have a supply in the pantry.
  • Some random candy we recently picked up for stocking stuffers

That’s all I can think of. My wife eats the Fritos, my two boys eat the rest of the junk. The baked goods will likely get tossed. The stocking stuffers are for the boys and my nieces/nephews. I might have a handful of jellybeans if I’m feeling hypoglycemic, but that’s quite rare and in those cases I’ll eat something that’s real food first.

Not sure all of these count as junk, but 4 bags of nacho chips (there was a sale) a box of Oreos from Costco, Kraft Mac and Cheese, good chocolate from the Ghirardelli factory outlet, not so good candy left over from Halloween (most of which I don’t like,) crackers. And some near instant Ramen noodle bowls from Costco, but higher class than the little ones. Not sure if that counts as junk food. And Tillamook ice cream, which we got addicted to when we visited their factory. That is high class - if any ice cream is not junk, that is.

I happened to read this earlier today, How to turn leftover sweets into a boozy infused treat.

Ice cream, chips, pretzel sticks, tortilla chips, taquitos, pot stickers, frozen pizza, Pepsi (with real sugar!), a box of bakery cookies. I’ve got Kraft Dinner but never considered it junk food before, same with canned corned beef hash, ran out of canned tamales so have to restock, not sure what else might count.
