C-Soprano. It was on sale.
Oooooh, once you become proficient, get yourself a c-tenor. You can be like Igor in Son of Frankenstein.
I’m listening to Kings of Leon–Aha Shake Heartbreak. They’ve become my newest music obsession and I highly recommend them. It’s hard to describe their sound though. It’s just…different.
That’s Mom to you, missy. And yes, probably.
Right now I’m in full Jazz mode. Listening to Russell Malone (guitar) and Wes Montgomery (guitar as well)
I also keep Pat Metheny warm as well.

I borrowed a friend’s Rhino Records’ “Have a Nice Day: Super Hits of the 70s” collection. 25 CDs of bad music! Actually, it’s only mostly bad, and it’s almost all fun. I’ve been changing them out all day while we’re remodeling. Fun!
I’ve been playing, in rotation, some mostly recent CDs I bought about a month ago:
Absolution by Muse
Pinkerton by Weezer
Franz Ferdinand, self titled
Hopes and Fears by Keane
Jimmy Eat World, self titled
Hot Fuss by Killers
“I predict a riot” by Kaiser Chiefs
Right this minute, it’s a Dizzy Gilespie album. Before that it was Getz and Gilberto.
John Zorn’s Naked City. It’s an interesting album, and I’m likin’ it.

In the car I have Pimsleur Language Programs Chinese (Mandarin) I–soon to move on to II.
Just lately I have been listening to one song, over and over; I can’t seem to get enough of it:
“Song to the Pharoah Kings” by Chick Corea
from the album Where Have I known You Before by Return to Forever. This band has Chick Corea on keys, Al DiMeola on guitar, Stanley Clarke on bass and Lenny White on drums. Awesome stuff.
Conspiracy Theory soundtrack, by Carter Burwell. Just got it off eBay, arrived today. Love this score.
With a nod to Bruce_Daddy, I have Edentrap’s CD going on in the truck.
Mostly “indie” stuff for me. On the speakers now–White Octave–you can check them out at emusic.com
